FDEV We want to be heard!!

As for a game in the elite niche, the community is passionate about the game

maybe, but that does not give you any design rights.

and while you certainly like your ideas, i might as well dislike to have the game (which i love as is) changed to match your personal preference

what can I say? One way or another you will have to come to terms with the fact that it will not happen, however much you think you deserve it. Sorry.

the reason for having opened this post was to find out the answer to this question, but it's not up to you to answer this question but FDEV.

Ideas need of course to be modeled and polished in a joint effort by the community and FDEV. obviously we don't want broken ideas and bugs added to the game!

By the way, you didn't read everything! I know that ideas must be polished, discussed and shaped together with the community and FDEV. this is not MY IDEA, I am referring to the suggestions of the WHOLE COMMUNITY, mainly in the sujestoes topic. The idea of this post is to call attention to the frontier that we want to be heard with our ideas. It is obvious that they have the final word, the idea is not that any player is the dictator of the game. we want more communication from them with us in terms of commenting on our ideas wow it was exhausting explaining the obvious

You have your answer already, check the suggestion section - see how many devs responded

In a conversation or any human interaction there are two ends, if one proposes to talk the other listens and then responds.

Your starting premise is flawed as well: there is NO conversation to have on this matter.
They gave you the opportunity to make suggestions, but they never ever promised to respond nor to implement any of those suggestions.
They said they will read those suggestions and that's it.

Not at last, on the matters of suggestions/design/etc there is no WE here.
Simply because what YOU want from the game will certainly won't match what I want from the game.
And this is one of the reasons "design by committee" is not working

Look, you're newish to the forum. Let me tell you how this plays out. You're not going to get an answer from anyone at Frontier. Sally is tops and she regularly is on the forums and will respond to things time and again. But she has no design making authority in the game and can only send things up the line. You absolutely are not going to get a dev to come onto the forums and say anything. This game is in its 8th year of a supposedly 10 year, planned, lifespan. The Thargoid War appears to be the Swan Song of Elite. Enjoy it, or don't. Your call, CMDR.

This starting premise of yours is wrong too.
The design behind their game is not exactly subject of conversation on the forums
Once there was a such section, but iirc it was open only in the early stages of the game (pre-alpha? alpha?)

And relatively recently they asked for opinions on engineering for example, but it wasnt a conversation either.
They asked for opinions, they got them but that doesnt mean they will answer or that they will have a conversation over them or they will implement any of them.

that's what I've concluded so far too, but the idea of this topic is exactly to draw Frontier's attention to this, to see if we got somewhere, if there's a response from her. and it doesn't matter if she doesn't respond or if she normally doesn't respond I've been on the forum long enough to know that you're right on this question. but still this is an opportunity for them to convey our message to them.

I understand your point of view, but here are just a few details: - elite is not a game like fortnite or an existing generic game, - The elite is a paid game, people pay dearly for this game. - Elite has a very active and passionate community that cares about the game and invests a lot to make it work. - There are factions that studying the mysteries of the game taking the RP to an unimaginable level. - The good elite players play the game for years and don't get tired of it, doesn't such a dedicated and passionate community deserve the attention and collaboration in the future of the game ?? or is it something completely authoritarian where we just have to accept the imposable things without the power to interfere for the better?
In my opinion this is a complete wrong way of seeing it. You buy the game FD made, to play on your computer/console at home/or wherever. You don't buy stocks in Frontier Developments so you can have a say at board meetings.
As with any and every game, the developers do what they want and see fit, and may use inputs from players if it fits the agenda.

And to go a bit further on that, FD has on several occations made changes or features asked for by the playerbase/community. Some openly said so, others quietly added later on at some point. One can probably assume it's a choice they've allready decided on half a decade in the past, and just now/then implementing it.

Too many people here gets their 'nickers in a twist when FD is silent. Wich they are 99% of the time come community suggestions. Even their own suggestions gets the ignore stick.

EDIT: oh, and please do me the favour and don't speak on my behalf. Unless it was the royal "we" you used, I do apologize
