I understand your point of view, but here are just a few details: - elite is not a game like fortnite or an existing generic game, - The elite is a paid game, people pay dearly for this game. - Elite has a very active and passionate community that cares about the game and invests a lot to make it work. - There are factions that studying the mysteries of the game taking the RP to an unimaginable level. - The good elite players play the game for years and don't get tired of it, doesn't such a dedicated and passionate community deserve the attention and collaboration in the future of the game ?? or is it something completely authoritarian where we just have to accept the imposable things without the power to interfere for the better?
In my opinion this is a complete wrong way of seeing it. You buy the game FD made, to play on your computer/console at home/or wherever. You don't buy stocks in Frontier Developments so you can have a say at board meetings.
As with any and every game, the developers do what they want and see fit, and may use inputs from players if it fits the agenda.
And to go a bit further on that, FD has on several occations made changes or features asked for by the playerbase/community. Some openly said so, others quietly added later on at some point. One can probably assume it's a choice they've allready decided on half a decade in the past, and just now/then implementing it.
Too many people here gets their 'nickers in a twist when FD is silent. Wich they are 99% of the time come community suggestions. Even their own suggestions gets the ignore stick.
EDIT: oh, and please do me the favour and don't speak on my behalf. Unless it was the royal "we" you used, I do apologize
