[Feature Request] System Colonization - Ability to "Deconstruct" and/or "Abandon" System

At the very least, we need a repurpose button. Even if it's restricted to the same type, for example, repurpose a refinery hub into an industrial hub or a mining settlement into a different kind of settlement. Being locked into a choice forever is hurting colonization. If people are worried about abusing the system, then gate it behind Arx.

But that’s not how it works in the game. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly, that's what I'm pointing out : what Frontier delivered is different of what they promised.

People were told by Frontier they will own their system, so it's totally understandable that's what many of those player expect of colonisation

But that doesn’t make it wrong when people argue that you don’t own the colony because, well, you don’t. That’s clear in the game.*

But constantly arguing that you do own it when the in game reality is clearly different, just because a marketing page says “yours” a lot… 🤔

It wouldn’t be the first time a company’s marketing didn’t match the product, being annoyed at that is one thing but arguing black is white is going to get a predictable reaction.

I’ll happily admit I’m wrong if any changes to ownership occur, although I think it’s unlikely.

*Subject to any changes made as the beta phase progresses.

I would like to be able to build my own stations. Stations that I could decommission whenever I want. Even if that means not getting paid for the materials that I deliver while building it. That's what I expected at first to be honest. A station to be a greater investment than a fleet carrier. Not to mention what a starport should cost.

What we ended up getting was more of the same NPC stations that we already had. Built en-masse. We turned out to be haulers-for-hire for NPCs' expansions.

I feel your pain and am perplexed by how some CMDRs justify the current state of colonization.
As you mentioned, the reality is that we don't own systems; instead, we are merely haulers for NPCs. To make matters worse, we make pennies during the process compared to typical profitable trades. Things must change, but I have little to no faith in FDevs.
