So from what my good friend (title pending) Nicholas Lionrider said, JW:E 2 and Planet Zoo are on the same version of the Cobra Engine, that being version 2.0. Thus, it's likely that transferring certain features would be relatively easy. Not saying it'll be a total cakewalk but you get the idea.
1. Flyers: The Pteranodon and Dimorphodon both look great. I don't feel like they're procedural or using canned animations. We know Frontier can do flying animals well now. Thus, birds like parrots, hornbills, owls, etc. are on the table
2. Swimmers: The Mosasaurus looks great. It moves through the water like silk and we already have diving mechanics in PZ. Imagine having an Amazonian water exhibit with arapaima, pacu, and piranha.
3. Dynamic animal interactions: From both the trailer and the gameplay, the little subtleties and the randomness of the interactions between the dinosaurs and other creatures were pretty good. Like you got the neck nuzzling between the 2 Brachiosaurus and the Carnotaurus making all sorts of turns when chasing a goat. Having this for the animals in PZ would be amazing. An idea I have is that when born, the babies should be super close to their parents with things like nursing, piggyback rides, etc. Then as they grow older, they do it less until they become adults. Or imagine different animals having their own little quirks. Like antelope flocking, horses grooming each other, or elephants and big cats play fighting.
