So watching some of the 1.4 beta testing the FAS looks like a bit of a beast. Straight out of the box an E-Spec FAS outperforms an A-Spec Python.
I mean. Wow!

Can you elaborate? I think the FAS is good and all but how is it outperforming an A-spec Python? PvE? PvP? What's going on there. So watching some of the 1.4 beta testing the FAS looks like a bit of a beast. Straight out of the box an E-Spec FAS outperforms an A-Spec Python.

Hey, you can't just tease us with this, come on elaborate please. Can you you describe the FAS and explain blow by blow how it performs please? Also any ideas how much its going to cost?So watching some of the 1.4 beta testing the FAS looks like a bit of a beast. Straight out of the box an E-Spec FAS outperforms an A-Spec Python.

The FAS is awesome but it would not stand up for long against a competently flown maxed out Python.
He was talking about the whole multi role ships being better at combat because of SCB capacity where combat ships have less storage for them and usually losing the battle of attrition. But should a dedicated combat ship be better for combat, yeah.Question. Is there any reason it shouldn't? Python is a multirole ship. The FAS im presuming is meant to be a pure combat ship isn't it?
Good point. So perhaps, SC Banks could be installed slightly differently, perhap only certain slots will take a SCB? That way pure combat ships could have plenty of SC Bank slots but very few general purpose slots? i.e. a normal slot could take any module but say a 'combat compartment' could only take things like SC Banks and other specifically combat related components? He was talking about the whole multi role ships being better at combat because of SCB capacity where combat ships have less storage for them and usually losing the battle of attrition. Honestly I don't know a proper way to really change it to make every one happy. SCB are ok for pve I guess. PvP it makes for lackluster gameplay in a lot of peoples opinions. Some people like them for PvP since it stretches the encounters out a bit. Tons of threads on it and no one can really agree. I am washing my hands of it and not worrying about it anymore.Good point. .
That would restore the balance a bit on Combat Ships favour...because a combat ship should be better at combat (or at least equal) to a multirole ship.....?

Ok can't argue that it is faster and maneuvers better.Compare boost speed and agility.
it's clearly better for pvp, with a lot more speed/agility/acceleration
it's clearly not better for pve, with less firepower/shield/cargo
Less firepower and shield is good for pvp now? What?
