Ships Federal Corvette

hi cmdrs,

can some selected outfittings be used to get the top spd, agility, or jump range for being used as transporting for CG.

to make it perform close to an imperial cutter?

does yours tell me what is its agility score? if you know it... l m k ...

Will look it up tomorrow!

She flies like a Vette must fly. The agility is why I can live with the 160 tons less compared to the cutter.

With the augmented FSD this Vette jumps 41 ly (31 loaden).

Put throttle in 75% for interdiction.. But you should easily be able to beat the NPCs interdicting you even at 100% throttle

The Corvette has a very flat thruster mass curve. The bad news is that it’ll never be fast even if you strip a bunch of mass, and it’s impossible to reach the minimum thruster mass. The good news is that you can stack heavy modules onto it and it doesn’t slow down much compared to a lot of ships.

Reason I give up my class D lightweight eng sensor modules and I stripped a healthy Class A one, eng for LONG RANGE - some buffy 320 tones now :p
I feel no noticeable difference when I fly her, and nothing changed in combat maneuvering - same bulky frame, still more agile than an Annie, still tanking like a boss, hitting like a train, with the benefit of acquiring encoded emission from a much better range now ( 14km !! ) .

Something funny tough, my ramming is now even more devastating against those crazy NPC in Condas 🤣

There was a long article by a man in English, he was testing and proving that the best scanner range in D and range mods.
If I can find the link I will give it here.

Long range D grade sensors are the sweet spot because of the combination of their range (sufficient for the majority of purposes), their power usage (low thanks to the D grade) and their mass (still relatively low in spite of the mass penalty from long range engineering.)

Lightweight A could be used in the circumstances where you’re more worried about mass than power.

I have long range A sensors on a few ships where I could spare the mass and the power. The primary advantage is seeing an entire res site or CZ at once.

I agree vette should be faster and have more shield it has 2 utilities unused. With 7x HD super capacitor 0A boosters, 1x resistance agumented thermo block booster u can get over 8K shield with positive resistances and have room for 2 heatsinks for SCBs. Fdev needs to enable those 2 unused urilities.
