Feedback on current Interstellar Initiatives content

Yep, absolutely, 100% certain. Have only visited the Installation once so far (with my xbox cmdr). manifest scanned both cargo hatches and was an orb, a relic and couple of others. Maybe fdev pulled some levers today, or I was just incredibly lucky! I will definitely get screenshots next time and share them here. FYI, was no active Scenarios there either - I wonder if there are.... yet?

ok went back to the installation just now. Scanned both Cargo bays. 1st one just normal human stuff, the 2nd one a single Guardian Relic. so yeah, not exciting quantity, but at least it is guardian.

My only disappointment, until now, is the missing Guardian Patterns from the USS.

Also as a side note, last night I did some runs at the nearby Weapon Blueprint site and I noticed the energy attacks from the skimmers were missing the kinetic component.
I was toppled by missiles on a couple of occasions, but the energy attacks didn't shake me at all. Also my game (xbox) became stuck after every logout to main menu and I was forced to Home/Quit.

Excellent! I tried several times a few days ago and got nothing, maybe fdev are watching :)

I'll update the OP to complain about the quantity, as 1 (like with the pirating) is not worth the effort. It's weird as other cargo you get 20 or so items, and (given the items are pointless apart from for the CG) there's no point in it being so low.

Sweet, and thanks for the thread. It'll be interesting if Scenarios start happening at the Installation during the Initiative. Because typically Cargo bays hold higher value stuff once a Scenario starts, to what you manifest scanned just before. e.g. Low Temp Diamonds etc.... Perhaps there would be higher value/quantity Guardian commodities then.
 
Found an easy semi instant way to go to the bubble from guardian space with very little jumping if you want to get back to the bubble in a hurry to change ship or get the items not available in guardian space and then take the ferry back on thursday heres how... (no ship transfer fees required)...

Get a small bounty by shooting a single friendly ship with just a love tap and then jump out to super cruse, now land at small outpost...
and hand your self in at the station and youll instantly be sent back to the bubble 1-2 jumps from Zende... Nothing from your ship is removed and you no longer have to jump all the way back, If you do this on every wednesday, you can use the mega ship on thursday to get back the next day...

This exploit of the Crime and punishment system means you jump instantly back due to the nearest prison ship being near zende...
The live stream on thursday gave me the idea to test if minour bounties would send you back and they do...
 
I've noticed that when running ED from Steam that exit to desktop freezes and has to be task killed - from Oculus there is no issue (even if running in Desktop mode) - odd!

Oh. This has been happening to me for years... thought it was just my machine...
 
I have docked at the asteroid base adjacent to the Pencil Nebula that can act as a staging post for bringing ships to the Initiative.
There's a strange mix of ships and modules available in the shipyard and outfitting: both Kraits are for sale, but the outfitting tends to be D and E rated modules which are less than level 5.

So if you plan on purchasing one of the Kraits while there, make sure you have the modules to ship to it. But then, if you can do that, you probably have the ship that can reach there without a problem.
 
I have one question. How players who will join game can know theres something like a ferry to guardian ruins without google? Even for me it was quite hard to somehow write those system nemes down and insert them into galactic map to go and check it out. If Ill return after year only clue will be one of all those blue flags on map is ferry, but which one?

Besides that I used Jamesons Lighthouse or whats the name for initial boost, suffered Guardian Modules Unlock and jumped back, it all started one evening and I finished next day afternoon. That ferry is kinda sad, whole event is. Killer of hope for my.

What would be nice for me is establishing such ferries around bubble, stoping for 5 minutes in some systems, every 15minutes or something. Would include nice effect of ferry coming in from witchspace near station, maybe to some other structure than starport "busstop". I would dock, and it would jump soon many LY away. That would save me from staring on monitor pressing J. Also it would give me feeling of more alive galaxy.

I would not like to see such ferry going to places like Colonia more often than every 3-4 weeks and in different day than Thursday. My 2 cents.

Anyone interested in obtaining "Guardian Modules" or "Guardian Weapon Modules" have no need to do this. The site at Synuefe EN-H d11-96 is a vessel blueprint site, which will require the utilization of at least one Ancient Key per blue print, in which case only three are obtainable. Thus one should stop at Synuefe KU-F B44-4 home to a Guardian Beacon and obtaining a minimum of three Ancient Key's prior to going to Synuefe EN-H d11-96.

Yep feels a bit like technicly its tested already with Gnosis. To allow everyone to use it they should add another layer to galactic map "Transportation" which will show same lines as they use for trading layer showing from where and where to you can use such transport. If they will make it fly more frequently Ill gladly use such feature for sure. Like I use buses and trams in big city I live in.
But they need to add system which will allow them to add/remove structures on the fly, its impossible to make this work if it can be done only on Thursday server tick. And very unpractical if that's English word.
 
Went into a Convoy USS. Inside there was a T9 with 4 escorts.
I scanned it and found out that it was hauling 2 (that is two!) Guardian Totems.
Not exacly a lucrative business for pirates 🤑
 
Commodoties will need to be weighted at around 10:1 of mats to make them a viable option during the CG as even at a guardian site you can only load up 2t at a time using the SRV and will have to relog frequently

Thankfully not a massive problem as we can get mats really easily from USS's. Might want to equip a collector before flying out though (or ship one over) as I don't believe they're available nearby in outfitting (they do have cargo racks)
 
That T9 must been Jackpot.
Next couple Convoy USS contained a single T7 (plus escorts) carrying one Casket, respectively one Ancient Key.

Followed one of the T7 to Synuefe RA-E B45-5 where I persuaded it to drop the Ancient Key.
Funny thing, the planet 2 in this system has a Guardian Beacon - one would think the NPC commander was goin to pick some more keys :giggle:

Yeah.... unfortunately, frontier still haven't added that functionality into CGs (unless it was very recent and I missed it)

I remember there being a thargoid stuff CG, and .... thargoid hearts, you know, the ones you have to kill an interceptor to get, where just as valuable to the CG, as stuff you could get with 0 risk in large quantities by just landing on a planet.
 
In so much as SOL is almost the exact center of the bubble; The bus should leave from there. I mean getting to the bus is almost half the way there for anyone who's home base is West of SOL.

Yup, the point of this thread was to highlight the differences in drop rates, as it will make the unprepared go all rage-y when the CG goes live. There's an inherent imbalance between mats and cargo storage which is made worse when large ships are excluded.

Hopefully they can bump the cargo in the installation & convoys before the CG starts

Yes, the server tick seems to be a long time for the bus to arrive ! (The English word is impractical ... English can be very strange at times !)
