Horizons Fehu Smuggle Missions Unobtainable?

Hey there, I recently made the journey out to the Fehu system as I decided that I would like to try out smuggling, seeing as how I have never tried it before. The system has lots of smuggling missions available yet you have to be a certain reputation with a certain faction. The faction are the Fehu Silver Rings and you have to have a Cordial reputation with them. I'm confused as to how to gain any rep with them, as the only missions they seem to offer are the smuggling ones which require the previously mentioned Cordial reputation.

I am very close to being Cordial with them, but I'm not entirely sure how as I've never visited Fehu before today. If anyone could help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Thankyou!

I ran into that problem somewhere. I didn't mind too much as I didn't want to do smuggling missions. It was almost all smuggling missions or nothing else. I was hoping for more variety.

What you could try is selling explorer data to them or maybe bringing them lots of rares? I haven't done rares trading in ages but I remember it boosting rep or turning stations green when I brought them lots of rares. So maybe pick up rares from a few stations before heading out there?

You have a few choices, in system trading between the surface and orbital ports will gain rep. Shipping in expensive commodities will also fast track you. Killing any wanted ships against the main faction should also help. Trade is the fastest option if you have a big ship.

Ah okay cool, thanks! I have a fully kitted out ASP Explorer with 88T of cargo space so I'm covered for trading. I know there's a ringed gas giant in the system so bounty hunting shouldn't be a problem either. Thanks for the help!

Ah okay cool, I'll have a look into that then. Thanks for the help! :)

Also you can sell exploration data to them and u ll gain rep, and you can relog open/solo modes to check for more missions. I am alied with them just by doing missions for them. Low pay in begin.

I am finding the new tie between faction activity and mission availability a bit confusing. I thought I had a handle on how this new system works until my home base HQ in Altair eventually got back to their original STATE, but despite everything returning back to "normal" the missions I was getting in good quantity have never returned! :(

I'm specifically referring to these new "Antiquities Salvage" missions. There was one specific Altarian faction that was dolling these out to me on a regular/predictable basis. These missions were like any other space based salvage mission with the quantity of the item being (4) total. The major difference between this mission type and the more typical space based salvage was the fact that they were paying a "minimum" reward of 1.5 MILLION credits, with every third or fourth offering paying a whopping 3.5 to 4 MILLION credits! :O [yesnod]

The mission giver's faction was in a BOOM state right when 2.1 dropped and this was when I started getting these incredibly lucrative and EASY to complete salvage missions. When Altair entered into civil war recently, these missions disappeared, and despite things getting back to normal and the system once again enjoying another BOOM, my Antiquities Salvage gravy train has never returned. [cry]

P.S. I was always ALLIED with the mission giver in Altair. In fact, because this system is my Federation home base, I am allied with ALL the Altarian factions as well as the ambassadors who are stationed there from surrounding systems.

As time has gone by, the quality and rewards attached to any missions I am offered in Altair regardless of the station used have continued to degrade. What I see on the mission board today looks like your typical Neutral faction offering.

As I said at the top... I thought I had a handle on how the new system worked, but based on what I have observed in Altair, I am now totally confused. [???]

+1. Also selling exploration datas at the station give you a boost. Just do a little exploration near Fehu but more than 20 lys away then sell datas.

I didn't unfortunately. I decided to give up and go to Maia, as they have a steady supply of smuggle missions. I haven't been back to Fehu to check if it's working, but I hope it is!

That's really odd! I would have presumed if it returned to a state of "Boom" then the missions you had been receiving would return. I have no idea why that has happened, but it sucks!
