Horizons Field of fire diagrams

I am specifically looking for them for the ASP X but I should think there should some for every ship and every hard point on every ship.

Are there??

not that i know off.

you could create some :)

i work around using the external camera to get an idea about the hardpoint placement.

AspE is tricky with it's shape.

Didn't they reduce all of the "fields of fire" on all gimballed and turreted weapons in the last update?

Might be a game mechanic that has changed significantly in the past and will likely change in the future.

It would be neat to see some kind of breakdown... assuming ship models have a significant differences.

Technically a turret should be able to hit anything that isn't blocked by some ship structure.

Hey DD, i know it is not exactly what you are looking for but you can get a basic discription for each ship from the wiki, i start there.
Asp X
the weapon hardpoints are located as follows: On each side of the cockpit, 1 medium hardpoint above the waterline and 1 small hardpoint below the waterline (total 2 medium, 2 small), and 2 small hardpoints located directly beneath the cockpit. Due to the shape of the ship and the hardpoint locations, the medium hardpoints and small hardpoints share a small field of fire (i.e mostly directly ahead). Pilots should be aware that Turrets in both Medium Hardpoints will have firing arcs above the cockpit where the pilot can generally see the target that the turrets are shooting at. However, turrets in all four Small Hardpoints will have firing arcs below the cockpit, where the target will tend to be obscured from the pilot's vision by the flight console and the floor.

Humnn, Marcus,. Pretty much had that but it is clear as mud.
My limited experience right now makes me think the two small turrets on the very bottom of the AspX can actually target things behind me and maybe a bit above me in front. Nope. Looks like they can probably only get to about 160-165 Degrees aft.
The other two small turrets may not have any more side to side range than a gimbaled but they can cover about 20 deg to the rear and 30 degree above straight ahead.I think this is still good.
The description of the medium fits well with my experience though I think a turret can get maybe 30 They can get back more than I thought.
Probably about 160-165 degerees to aft.
deg to the top rear and maybe 40 degree forward down.
This means the something like 50 degrees It is possibly only 30 degrees but likely closer to 40 degrees. 20+- above and below ships c/l. above/behind has no fire coverage.
While there is probably a 30 degree wide area from 40 degree forward down to 20 degree forward up where all 6 weapons can shoot.

The green is the new stuff.

I would be surprised if they have that much detail in the weapon modeling.

Besides... isn't the field of fire almost uninhibited now that we are in the days of multi-crew?

Playing yourself... limited fields of fire.
Play Multi-crew and your gunner can shoot a turret in any direction.

You have to look at the placement of the hard points on the ship. The gunners cannot shoot through your ship at a target on the other side of it.

No.

In general, they are quite forgiving, even in this regard.

This is generally the way it works, with a little wiggle room.

Multi-crew does not alter the fields of fire of the weapons, it just gives the gunner an external view. If the gunner attempts to fire at something the turrets cannot point at, those turrets do not fire.
