Fighting For The Herd

Specifically Hadrosaurs and Pachycephalosaurs. Why not let them enter combat? At least with small carnivores. Large carnivores, okay I'll let you have the insta kill.

I know it's be a lot of work to animate more dinosaurs, but we have the iguanodon now. So why can't the other boot small predators too? Give Hadrosaurs a fighting chance with them at least.

They don't need to win half the time, just let them put up a fight. I can just see a corythosaurus rearing up and using it's front feet to pummel a carnivore then for a kill animation, stomp on it.

And Pachycephalosaurs, why aren't they head butting small carnivores into submission until they stop twitching?

I am curious if we could do for the pachys and hadrosaurs this: that they could kill small carnivores, but not raptors. And that could be what makes raptors different from the small carnivores. That they are not stronger, or take more hits, its that they are smarter.

So raptors could have a unique takedown, where they are preparing to fight a pachy, but as they are preparing to fight, another raptor jumps in from the right. Making them much more lethal.

Always bothered me how the pachys and hadrosaurs are literally defenseless.

I would bet on a pachy against a Troodon or Proceratosaurus and its silly to think a lone raptor, or any small carnivore for that matter, could actually bring one of those behemoths like a hadrosaur down single-handedly. If we had pack hunting, okay I can believe a pack of 3+ raptors could take a hadrosaur down, but seeing a Proceratosaurus lunge on the back of a para and bring it down is just hilarious looking. This is a big opportunity for improvement for Frontier granted I like how they at least made the Troodon unique in the regard it can't outright kill hadrosaurs. I think we need more implementation for small carnivores along the lines of Troodon where they must employ different tactics whether it be venom, pack hunting, or more realistically cough Proceratosaurus cough simply isn't able to attack a hadrosaur only small herbivores.

That would be awesome. I could handle that, definitely.
I would love to see pack hunting implemented too along with this. It would make the dinosaurs even more dynamic.

It actually bothered me more with the pachys as well. Especially since the movies made them out to be somewhat grumpy and aggressive lol. The Hadrosaurs I could see a little, since they're just big cows in some sense, but still. Let them go down fighting. At least some of the time. And an underdog win every once in a while would be nice to see.
