Horizons Finally thoughtful material mining

Just came across colonia 3 C A and i have to say that this is a planet where frontier have finally created a material extraction site that makes sense. After landing in a red riverlike area I soon came across a bunch of fiery geysers and pretty soon my scanner started lighting up with an area full of materials the likes of which i havent seen before (crystallines, spikes, etc). Its pretty much a goldmine. It could just be due to it being rocky since i am not sure i have ever landed on a rocky world but either way it is what i finally needed

You will find this is related to the vulcanism and not the body type. Icy, metallic and rocky bodies all have high concentrations of rare mats around volcanic vents. This also applies to biological sites, so if you are on the hunt for mat's you can always check for nearby locations by looking in the spreadsheet in vulcanism site in the exploration sub forum. You will also find a list of bio sites there.
