Well, it kind of makes sense that ships have a ton of built-in safety features that stop them from eg. flying into a black hole, or any star for that matter, stopping it before it gets too close.I really think it should be more dangerous
It depends on what content you are referring to. Some of the stellar streams are populated in the game, but not accessible due to distance. Ghost Giraffe and his video with tech support's assistance comes to mind.Apart from the fact they don't actually exist in the gameyou mean? They would have to generate them using some sort of Stellar Forge like process first.
I would welcome all those actions while out in the black.Alot of SC content which is both implemented and pending, like eva, to repair the hull, or eva to a space hulk to explore it on foot, is begging inclusion into the elite exploration content.
Along with towing ships, salvaging ships etc.
I realise this content is "done", by other games but that's no reason to deny the content from elite.
Also fleshing out black holes as dangerous, nebulae screwing up the ships innards, debris collisions, fleshed out planetary landings on waterworlds elws, etc. List is endless..
I was corrected by @varonica as to why elite is called elite dangerous, but I really think it should be more dangerous. Not just from a pvp perspective, but exploration, mining and so on.
Out in the black is a safe place....too safe, too predictably safe.
Also think carriers should incur damage whilst out in the black.
Space is a very hostile environment. Let's make it so.
You want Fdev to make more dangers out there. Then the same Fdev would have to deal with a flood of tickets created by whiners about lost ships due to exactly same dangers.Space is a very hostile environment. Let's make it so.
