I want to find a lawless system that has some stations in it, so far the only systems i've found that are anarchy seem to be empty systems where ships just pass through, i like to find a villainous hell holes with a place to dock and sell my ill gotten gains, is there a way to use the map to find this or does anyone know of some systems like this?

There are 40 billion systems, so if someone knows one, it might not be near you! You can use the Galaxy Map to check for Anarchy systems near by. I can't check just now since I'm away from the game, but I think it's the 3rd tab, I think, then view. You can then choose to see anarchy systems. Having done this, you can check for economy and population and the like by going into system view. If you find something with a reasonable population, you should see some traffic. If you tell us a little more about what you are wanting to find there, we might be able to help further...
Selling ill-gotten gains doesn't require an anarchy system, just a black market. If it isn't an anarchy system, you have to get through the local patrols though... Black markets can be found under the contacts tab of the station menu. The way you can find out if there's a black market? Going into the station....
EDIT: to make more sense

Use the galaxy map, switch the filter to "government type" and look for the orange systems. they're anarchy. You can look on the system maps for those systems (may need to buy system map data) once on the map make sure the focus cursor is off everything and the info on the left will default to overall system data. Take a look at the system factions and their affiliations (government type, system influence e.t.c.) An anarchy system will always have a pirate faction as the dominant faction in that system. Now have a look at the stations on the map and see which one the anarchy faction controls. Now you know where to go and who to get missions off if you wish to run missions for the villainous cretins that run the joint.

Anarchy systems will have stations in them. It is impossible for them not to, because they have a factional presence in them (anarchy). Stations are required for there to be a factional presence in a system. Unoccupied systems with no stations in are classed as 'dead systems', they are dark grey on the map and usually have nothing in them other than a star. I think the problem you are facing is lack of exploration data. things are there, you just haven't found them yet. Known locations aren't universal, think of it as what your ship personally knows, whether through direct experience or bought data. If you/your ship hasn't been in a system before it will appear as unexplored until you have acquired data for that system somehow. Stations will always show up on the nav panel though so you're doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what.

As for systems of the type you're looking for. The Alliance Capital Alioth has a number of anarchy systems right next to it. Named something like LHS 1914, BOTEK, and something else. I can't remember the names right now but I've been up there for a few days running smuggling/slave trade/piracy missions for the 'Blue Drug Boys' and a bit of commandeering at nav points. That's probably up your alley. So search for Alioth and look for orange systems near by, making sure you've set the colour filter to government type. It's a mild journey upward above the galactic plane from the general starting positions down in the federal heartlands.

Good luck!

There are 400 billion systems[/I]

Fixed that for you ;)

Thanks for the info guys, alioth sounds like an interesting place, i'll see how far away it is, if its too far i'll have another try at learning to use that galactic map.
