I was getting worried about this, I wanted to build my relations with the Federation. I didn't knew about this timers.

The way round this? Fly at less than 100 until you're out of range of the station. Yeah, that's what this game needs, a way to make it a bit more grind-y......

That wasn't an NPC. The station rammers were talking about doing this even before the update.

You should really read update notes before wasting the devs and forum mods time. It has been clearly mentioned in the notes, not to mention about 30 other posts. It is working as intended, and it designed to help keep trolls out of systems.

Bounties and fines

Is it now the case that you don't get major faction bounties. Also if my bounty expires after 7 days, is that it? I can forget about it forever, I've ranked up loads doing power play undermining missions and I might have to think what I'm doing if I'm going to end up with a permanent million credit price on my head.

Legacy fines: where the hell are they listed, so that you know where to pay them?!

Am I missing something? Is there a way to know where you have legacy fines to pay and how much? I've supposed they were listed on the left panel, but they aren't. I discovered that I had to pay one of them, just casually landing on a station where I had one.
And if I don't pay them, not knowing about them, what happens? Will they be simply added to my first rebuy cost if my ship is destroyed in that particular System?

Finding the place to pay fines...

I have a fine and need to pay it. It says that it is for Cupis Power Corp. I have been to all the ports in the Cupis system and can't seem to pay it. Can anyone tell me where it is please? Thank you!

Is it a fine or a bounty? Bounties are persistent for a period of time, and you can't pay them off until that time passes and they become a fine. Check in your transactions tab to see if there is a timer there.

No, I am neutral in most factions still. The message says "1,400 cr Fine in Cupis Power Corp."

OK, I found it. I had to go under Contacts in order to pay it. It should just let you pay it under the the Transaction section....

Why can't I pay a fine

Have a bit of a problem, ran into a ship that exploded and got a 6,000 credit fine in Federal Congress in the Sol system. Have been to the Federal Congress controlled space stations where it shows I am wanted but there is nowhere to pay the fine.... anybody got any ideas? The appropriate station page shows I have no outstanding fines but I am still wanted.

This is not the fine that you have received but a bounty, and you cannot pay off the bounties. This means that you will be wanted in the system that have issued a bounty on your head until the bounty expires, probably in 7 days.

I have the same problem, also following an accidental collision. I've a price on my head in the control system I pledged to! One way pledge huh? Lol!

I debated pulling the 'purge your sins in a Sidewinder' suicide stunt but decided to go with it and 'role played' a defection to another leader.

Anyway. Does anyone know what happens when the lockout period is over? Does the Cr6k bounty disappear? Or do I have to go back to that system and pay it off?

I understand it goes dormant. But I think if you are killed in that system you pay it on your rebuy. Glad you can only get a max fine in each system potentially catch you out and be back in sidewinder. If I have it correct.
