I've set off on my own exploration 3 days ago. Although... I'm not heading for the usual popular suspect places like Sag A* or Beagle Point. Having already been to Colonia and back, another popular well trodden path - this time I've decided to head to no place in particular. I've heading South from the bubble instead and plotted a route to Seagull Nebula, and from their I plan to head south as far as I can. Already I've picked up a few systems that have not been fully discovered and it's only early days

I've taken by best ship on this exploration - my Fed Corvette. It might not have the best jump range (only 28ly). But it's a great ship to travel out their in style, seeing as it's actually quite agile for a capital ship. :)
It's fully kitted out, 2 fighters just in case, also useful if I want to hop into one and have a better look around at something,, AMFU for repairs. Extra module and hull protection, and two SVG's in-case I need a spare one. It can basically carry everything you'll ever need for a long trip in the black

I pressed accelerate instead of decelerate while trying to land and plummeted head first into the surface.
I'm so fed up. I don't want to make a decision tonight because I'm angry with myself.
I had travelled around 2000ly away from Beagle Point.

Landing on planets can be the killer if you're not careful. :eek:

All the way back to Beagle Point as well... that sucks! Seeing as you'd started your trip back to the bubble

We've all done it. My first Cobra went bang when I hit the wrong key and turned on silent running but then didn't know what key I'd hit and couldn't get it turned back off in time (hence the name of my current Cobra)

Did you sell the data from the trip out at that BP fleet carrier so you've not lost all that?

Well then you are at Carrier at Beagle and all you lost was some pocket cash, and some thousands of of ly*s of jumping effort. Not bad. When I did trip, there were no Carriers and nearest point was Explorer's Anchorage near Sag A. Loosing ship and data on return leg from Beagle would have been really bad experience...

Thats good question, I really do not know what happens if you log off from rebuy screen...without choosing what to do. Does it default to loaner sidey, or stored ship, or does it bring rebuy screen again?

I recommend the underbelly of the galaxy; a lot of it is unexplored.

That's ok, just got home from work and will be going to bed in a little while, are you on INARA and have you got EDMC or similar running, if so I can see when you are docked.
