"First Footfall" Tag apparently not linked to UC

Perhaps they’ll stick it at the bottom of the side-panel on the system map?
I just see it as idiotic that the game is going to differentiate between boots and wheels.
For what it is worth, it WON'T be a Neil Armstrong moment. Armstrong's glory was in being the first person to escape Sol 3's gravity well and land on another body, not to be the first person to put boots on another body. It was in being first to do something that noone had EVER done before, not to be the first to land on the moon.

'Neil Armstrong moment' is referring to playacting in a television studio while the world watches on - didn't you all read that one of the settlement types they were adding was 'TV studio'

Yup, I also feel it's getting a bit silly. Particularly for many bubble systems. They were protected for first scan tags, but not for the first to map ones and I'm assuming they won't be protected for landfall tags either. So you have a commander in the year 330X getting tags on already billion-population systems.
Yes, I also mentioned back when the First mapped by tags were announced by Frontier that where does this stop? However, they have explicitly said then that they wanted to introduce a new tag so that current players could get their tags on stuff close to, and inside, the bubble. I imagine this time won't be any different. (Although, "first footfall" on bodies in inhabited space...)
Looks like footfall tags will be instant, yeah. It's not like first discovery and first mapping couldn't be done that way either. We do already have a third tag that's already awarded instantly: the ones on the Codex. So first footfall will be the fourth possible tag.
If it were up to me, I'd award the "first X by" tags instantly, and assign vouchers for the credits to be cashed in. This way, people could see exactly how much data they are carrying, and it would also enable multicrew exploration to have credits awarded for crew members, but no tags.
