First person view

I'm craving for the first person view! In RCT3 it was nice to make a ride in your rollercoaster, but I like to see more. I want to walk around in my park and experience my whole creation, not just my rides.

Would be really nice if they implemented the Zoo Tycoon kinda thing. You can walk around and with pressing the spacebar you can do tasks your employees normally would do.

I'd like this as well. Maybe the option to be either an employee or a guest. Employees get little carts they can drive around the park to get to places quickly, but there may be tasks you need to address as the park owner, whereas playing as guest means you just calmly walk around, taking in your creation.

Big +1 [up]

Small +1 (but still)

I mostly see this as a way to save money. When you just started a park you can do the cleaning yourself. Like emptying bins or sweeping. Maybe do maintenance for the basic rides which are available in the beginning. And perhaps even an option to educate yourself and make yourself able to repair the more complicated rides as well. All saves money on employees. When the park grows you obviously can't do everything on your own and then you start hiring people.

I'm not sure. I like the idea of that stuff being optional.

I hope we will get a feature similar to Theme Park World aka. Sim Theme Park, where you can walk through your (and other people's') parks, that would be great. A first person control mode was the ONE thing I really missed in RCT 3

Strange how many have asked for this in RCT! But looks like they're planning to do the same as RCT3. Really? I hope PC does the right thing and have proper first person.

There is, adds Denney, a simple voyeuristic appeal to people watching that should, in theory, immerse the player more deeply in the simulation. "We've built our assets to a high level of detail, so when you [zoom in] you can see that we could push into a first-person mode and it would be quite acceptable. It's the reason why I like skeleton watches, because I can see that almost infinite detail - I can get in close and look at all the little mechanisms and appreciate the craftsmanship. I think people really enjoy that level of fidelity and detail."

... says lead technical artist, Sam Denney in an interesting interview on Eurogamer.

I still hope we get to walk around the park.
Same.

There are tons of videos on YouTube, or topics on forums, that present creations of the players. People like to show the parks/coasters they have created, or see the other players' parks/coasters. People love to share ! I spend a LOT of time watching the darkrides, or coasters created in RCT3 on youtube.

I could spend as much time creating my parks, as visit other players' parks, in the body of a guest, with the first person view.

I wish I could do this in RCT3 (some parks are just impressive) then, to do so in the next-gen version ? It's a dream come true !!!

Who would not visit this park at the first person ?

Or this one ?

Something just occurred to me; not only would a FPV add a level of immersion, but it would also give us the opportunity to make sure that any behind the scenes stuff is correctly obscured by scenery and/or foliage. So ride buildings and hangars aren't just blatantly on show for our guests.

Absolutly !!!!!!! [up]

i hope so too!
apparently rctw is going to do that, and that's a really cool feature i would love to see in such a beautiful game like planet coaster!

The more I think to the parks that I would be able to create, the more I think about how to visit the other players' parks in first person view, trying every rides (and this is why I still hope darkrides), every coasters, visiting every buildings, in real time...

That'd be a great addition to the game. If they add this to Planet Coaster, I hope I can join queues too. It sounds weird but the more realistic it is the more I'll enjoy it. I know it's still a simulator, but a 'guest' simulator would be great too. It's soooo much cooler to visit other players' parks in this mode as Angelis said.

That´s one thing I already expected to be in RCT3. I was really surprised when the feature wasn´t there. Now - ten years later - I hope Frontier will make this happen.

I agree that it would be motivating to build your park in a way where ride buildings are hidden and only the front of your attraction is visible for guests (and first person players). I would enjoy to do this for huge dark rides.
