First person view

I agree that it would be motivating to build your park in a way where ride buildings are hidden and only the front of your attraction is visible for guests (and first person players). I would enjoy to do this for huge dark rides.

There actually WAS a first-person view in rct3, it was a cheat:

it's pretty cool, and i really found it interesting that they only added it in as a cheat,
the only 2 problems are that you cant control the character, and it's not at the eyes of the peep, it's more on top of the peep.
(another cool cheat i liked was the dune buggy cheat, so cool!

like you said it's not exactly the same as controling a guest, in first person view, in real time, in the park of someone else, but yeah, that was cool [big grin]

I'm craving for the first person view! In RCT3 it was nice to make a ride in your rollercoaster, but I like to see more. I want to walk around in my park and experience my whole creation, not just my rides.

+1 for first person guest visit to park! also a multiplayer to visit other player parks sounds fun.

This would be one of my most used features in planet coaster! But i really think waiting in queues should be optional ;) wiredly i would enjoy that but not all the Time

Indeed that's a very good idea so +1000000[up]. It could be useful to visit and check your custom sceneries. That could be very good for immersion and realism.

That'd be a great addition to the game. If they add this to Planet Coaster, I hope I can join queues too. It sounds weird but the more realistic it is the more I'll enjoy it. I know it's still a simulator, but a 'guest' simulator would be great too. It's soooo much cooler to visit other players' parks in this mode as Angelis said.
Let's get in a queue for 45 minutes or better get a Fastpass! Frontier, please add fastpasses!

I would like to be able to make a guests before opening a park file, like in RCT3; however, instead of making custom guests to roam your parks in groups, I'd like to select one of my saved guests to play as when in first person view so if I make a custom guest a certain height, my FPV camera will be that height. I would also like to see the rest of the guest's body. In real life, when you ride a coaster, you can look down and see your entire torso, legs, feet, arms, hands, and shoulders. It would be nice to see that in FPV and MAYBE (very low priority suggestion here in my opinion) have the optional 3rd person view for your custom guest. I'm more concerned with first person though... Basically, create guests and pick one to play as when you switch to first person mode. FPV should also allow you to look straight up and down, of course leaning forwards or backwards to do so. Some other softwares in this genre (which shall remain nameless here) have not enabled proper views when in FPV. People move their heads and bodies to look in all directions including straight up and straight down...

You can always make your own. Just use your smartphone and a carton kit from the internet :)

Ugh. I dislike it when people claim there's very little difference between the two. No sir, dedicated VR platforms exist for a lot of very good reasons.

Anyway I made this account because I heard that VR is "unlikely, but considered" for this game, and I think that's a darn shame. The same engine already has VR support in Elite, and this game looks good enough to probably not fall apart in VR. I want a first-person mode to explore my park and the parks of others, and I want VR support to be a part of that. I don't really care if there's a "practical" reason to do that, I mainly just want to be able to visit a thousand different interesting theme parks virtually. Sure, I won't have G forces or the smell of churros, but I think it would still be a fantastic experience. I'd love to be able to visit a park online with friends, too. The interface need not be comprehensive or complicated; I just want to be able to walk around, get in line (or skip lines), get on rides and maybe "use" other things like concession stands, and utilize head-tracking (or mouse-look) to turn my head.

Of course something like Oculus is better than a cardboard kit.
I just said that to point out it's not that hard to get your own VR "device".

The absolute dream !

having the ability to explore the entire park in first person would really lend itself to visiting other peoples creations. VR someday would incredible for this type of game, but I'll take what we can get and it starts with being able to control and walk around the park as a peep.

I Love the idea of taking control of a guest and walk around the parks. It sure would be great! I use to put the free cam in RCT3 and stick to the ground to see what my park look like for the guest, It is totaly different, and allow you to see what your guest are seeing. It is a nice experience.
So the idea of taking control of a guest. Love it ! [up][up]
