First the Type-9 was reborn, then the Saud Kruger ships, next?

Since we're only dreaming. Add a class 1 optional internal module to every ship. Then everyone
can use a discovery scanner or docking computer as desired without taking up more valuable
modules. It's pretty silly using class 3 and 4 to do the same in a Cutter.

They sort of did this, but without the docking computer. New patch has no more discovery scanner, it's built in to your ship's sensor package.

DBX - desperately needs one of the Size 4 slots increased to a Size 5 for fitment of a larger fuel scoop. That is all that is needed to vastly improve the ship.

Python needs un-nerfing, and maybe a nice buff here and there.

Asp Explorer needs a serious boost to its range and internals to put it back on top of the exploration heap.

Cutter needs it's cargo capacity nerfed back to a reasonable level. I mean, I know it's bagless and has those brushless digital motors but even so.

I think it's been stated by FD that the Asp Scout is up for a checkup.

I'm really hoping the T-7, which already got it's update, will get its 5th small hardpoint unlocked, although I am also pretty sure that hope is futile.

I think the lineup is in a pretty good spot to be honest. What we need mostly now are new ships to fill in some pretty big gaps - round out the mid-section of the Imperial fleet, add a high-end to the Alliance, put in a swath of commercial ships with a whole army of hardpoints but the capacitor to only run half of them, for your mining "specialists". After that, FD should turn the ship part of its gaze on larger things.

Type 7 has a 5th hardpoint that does indeed need unlocking.

Hell, even the bleeding Hauler has a second Small hardpoint parallel to the one it's got already which needs to be put in.

Balance purposes EE lol XDD

And I for one wasn't pleased with the nature of the Beluga buff - I wanted more passenger slots, rather than the complete nerfing of its specialised role.

Interesting. I am surprised you would feel it is a nerf. First of all, Luxury missions never amounted to anything anyway. One thing the Beluga does have going for it is it has a lot of slots. Now there are many more roles that can be useful for this ship. In fact, I am going to start working on my exploration build today to prepare for the new update.

Something like this:

At the very least, the T9 needs a heavier mlf. Right now even a Krait can mass lock it. That’s ridiculous! If nothing else, it needs a factor of 18, one above the Krait II and Phantom.

The way I see it, Luxury missions are those ships remaining USP. The fact that those missions mean squat is an issue which should have been fixed years ago.

They were passenger ships and now they're......what? Multi-role? Explorers? I actually liked the concept of specialised roles for certain ships but it looks like only combat ships get that distinction with military slots galore.

Repped. Also, one big improvement I'd love to see is in my Asp Explorer: two smallest modules are 2-slot types. BUT the ADD and DPS only take up 1-slot of them. That means the 3-slot (which comes next) gets the SRV which takes up a 2-slot. I would love to squeeze two 1-slot items into a 2-slot available module. Of course, with the coming update that might not be so critical but I still hate wasting space. Put it down to my CDO (OCD but with the letters in the correct order).

well, if i had to review all ships i have used up to now:

Adder: needs pilot seat moved for better view
T6: would benefit from mining laser engineering allowed (eg. efficient on imperial lance)
T7: would benefit from same as T6, including a medium hardpoint.
Keelback: would benefit from a shipkit that puts a huge "skull" over the cockpit for a real pirate look
type 10: a tiny little bit more turning rate in supercruise - would that be to much?

Dropship: this one really needs at least one utility slot moved to the topside, and hull hardness raised a few points
Corvette: class4 AX cannons and missile, class1 flak - and this ship would be perfect for my needs.

Asp Scout: needs something. its as big as an asp, but has only the firepower any other 2 small 2 medium hardpoint ship.

Dolphin & Orca: a bonus to cabin capacity, passenger mission payout or a 500% higher chance for luxury missions

Swap the weight stats on the Conda and Cutter. Suddenly the cutter is the ultimate do-everything that’s actually worth the price and the rank grind. Plus the Conda finally fits its role in the lore as an ancient refurbished scrapheap.

That makes a lot of sense, but could you image the salt output if FD touched the Conda and brought it back into reality - we would be drowning in salt :D

Yep. That cat’s not going back in the bag anytime soon. Too much yowling involved.

I hope to god that the Saud Kruger ships don't lose their passenger-only restrictions.

Too late, it is a done deal. And a deal I can't see a downside, you can still use the SK ships as passenger, nothing has changed in that regard. Just now you can use them for something else if you want, I know I will be buying an Orca as an excellent exploration ship, something that I really couldn't do before because of the stupid restrictions.

I approve of what the T 9 got. Cargo is its purpose for existing so it should do it well. Beluga's purpose for existing is to haul passengers, and presumably to do it very well if not the best. De-restricting its slots did nothing to improve its capabilities as a passenger liner, despite its mediocre passenger hauling ability. The change makes it better at things it was never intended for, which in itself isn't bad but it hasn't made it better at passenger missions. The problem the beluga had, aside from being a flying BBQ rack, is that it failed to be the best passenger vessel despite existing for no other purpose.

Sorry: They turned the beluga into a weaponized, slf carrying, biowaste hauler. Mine ran kool and made me a few bill as a passenger ship, sorry you couldn't do the same.
Now it's just another lame multirole ship.
Have fun. :)
As for exploring in a beluga. Just wait till you land on a hi g world.

One more vote for the Imperial Clipper becoming a medium pad vessel

Sorry The clipper is perfect as is.
