Fleet Carrier Docking Access bug?

The choices for Docking Access for Fleet Carriers seemed pretty straight-forward; however, the one that says "SQUADRON AND FRIENDS" acts like it means "anyone who is BOTH in YOUR squadron AND your friend" rather than "friends and/or squadron" as I original interpreted it.
This has caused many issues with Fleet Carrier and the only workaround I have is to add every member of my Squadron as Friends.
I would be surprised if this is working as intended, rather than a bug in the difference between "AND" & "OR" in checking the status of potential Fleet Carrier dockers.
I understand Vanguards is soon to come out, but since that is adding a Squadron Fleet Carrier, that would not imply addressing this issue.

as i understand it
as option2 it says squad only therefore only squad menbers can dock friends cannot
as option3 says friends only then only friends can dock and squad members are denied
or option4 both can dock so yea seems sraight forward...........
so it's either one(op2) or the other(op3) or both(op4) as i see it ................


so out of interest what issues are you refering too may i ask?

When I choose "SQUADRON AND FRIENDS", the only members of my Squadron who CAN dock are those who are ALSO my Friends.
This is taking "AND" literally, rather than inclusively.
What I assumed it meant, and what everyone else I have talked to assumed that it meant, was that anyone who is a Friend and/OR in my Squadron could dock, regardless if they are not BOTH.
Currently, they have to be BOTH in my Squadron AND in my Friends list in order to dock.
Hence why I feel it is a bug.

ahh i get your point now ............. all 500 potential squad members should be able to dock weather friends ot not (op4)
something does seem off agreed
report it in the bug reporting forum

Frontier's website is a labyrinth. I eventually found my previous bug reports under "My Activities", but cannot find anywhere to submit a new bug report, because the buttons for such take me in a loop to Frontier's Support site and makes me choose Elite Dangerous all over again, only to see FAQs but never a means to submit a bug report; which is why I came here to vent into the wind.
If you have a link to an actual bug reporting system, I would love to use it.

Finding that was impossible for me earlier, as the website made it seem like either the bug reporting was removed or I did not have access to it (even after logging in).
