Notice Fleet Carrier Update - Known Issues

Seems to be a sound bug prevalent where sound affects from the hangar are still prevalent while out in space. my ship has all kinds of static sounds and industrial machinery sounds buzzing all about even in deep space. it also now sounds like my ship keeps hitting rocks while cruising around. hope this isnt intended as this is pretty annoying after only 5 minutes of playing
Yep, this was present in the Beta.
 
Is the Refuel quick access button still bright white when you have less than 100% fuel? It was in the beta, and since it’s impossible to arrive with 100% fuel that makes it a permanent idiot light whenever you dock. Should just stick with orange for available services and red for unavailable services, same as the regular station menu buttons.
 
Ok so this is a weird one. Went off to Hun Cruacoc system to try and catch a fleet carrier INARA said was buying Tritium for 416k ton, but alas when I arrived he was not their, but another FC was their, forget the reg number but something Bunny was his name, and 35000 ls our from the nav beacon and not near any planet I could see.

So I Supercruised to him to dock and have a nosey, when I caught him and was slow and close enough to drop out of SC , I appeared 14km away from him and got the invite message from the FC, but the bloody thing wasn't still, I was moving away from me faster than I could boost on 4 pips engines doing 400 in an ASP.

It was like he was flying the bloody thing in a straight line? Anyway went back into SC and tried again, same thing happened. He was deff not "stationary" and cruise about 600 speed. After a few mins of boosting he was 35km away from me and getting away so I gave up and returned 5 jumps to my FC. Pretty sure the owner was in a asteroid belt close by, probably looking for Tritium on new LTD hotspots.

Weird. I thought FC are always stationary unless jumping?

Thank you to everyone who has reported the issues they’ve found since the update went live. We’re reading all the feedback and the development team is working hard on resolving them as we speak.

This thread is intended to share which issues we are aware of and any information relating to them. We'll keep this thread up to date with news and information, so please do keep checking back for the latest updates.

Current known issues:
  • Commanders being kicked from the game and unable to rejoin, or taking a longer than expected time to rejoin.
  • Commanders experiencing crashes related to connection errors.
  • Various sites missing from the in game world, such as Dav’s Hope.
  • Commanders being unable to purchase a Fleet Carrier.
  • Some Commanders did not have to wait any time for their fast track quota.
    • Fast tracking Powerplay quotas is currently not available while we investigate a further fix.

Update:

Once again thank you for your patience and feedback, we’ve managed to look further into the issues at hand as a result!

As it’s now approaching midnight in Frontier local time, the development team are getting some well-earned rest along with the community team as well! We’ll be back in the morning to continue investigating these issues and updating you on fixes for them as soon as we can.

We will continue updating the OP with any issues, or further information on existing issues.

So now the error report won't let you type in the reproduction part. The entire game is broken. Once again we have to come looking for answers rather than in game alerts to problems and WELL EARNED SLEEP COMES AFTER A JOB WELL DONE.
 
I think after this, I'm going to start seeing Black Adder error messages in my dreams the same way I have dreams of being a disembodied consciousness floating around in the galmap.
 
Well, I must say, this was a banner day. On Fleet Carrier launch day I could buy no fleet carrier. I did however manage to get familiar with my Prospector in Star Citizen, so there is that.

I mean it’s tradition and all I guess but man, this was not a banner day of Elite Dangerous play. So much is busted you can’t even really just go on with other stuff.

Everything is busted. No Davs Hope and the Jameson's wreck is not there too, The Guardian ruins are no longer there. BLACK ADDER Permiates every time I tried. Three stations in three systems all the same stupid error. BLACK ADDER NO GET OFF AND GO THE MAIN MENU? In BETA no problem at all buying one. Now in the live game I cannot buy one.

I remembered these are available in the ordinary game so tried in the plain game not Horizons. Same thing happened BLACK ADDER BLACK ADDER.

Dare I ask this question? Yes why not. Why don't Frontier test the live version before unleashing something so broken on the player base.? Again lack of QAQC bites many of us. Too may folks in game complain too.

Get this game FIXED!

all these "adder" errors mean that you have to buy paintjobs for the adder in order to resolve the issues.

Cardinal Rule of professional software development and release management NEVER EVER MAKE CHANGES TO THE CODE OR RELEASE MECHANISM BETWEEN FINAL BETA TEST CYCLE AND MAIN RELEASE.

Well done FDEV. I used to think your problem was that you had no Test Engineers or people that actually play this game. Now I realise you have no software professionals at all.
 
Has anyone who participated in the beta (and left their carrier not decomissioned) been able to get one? Just wondering in case thats the bug..
People have reported being able to and people who didn't participate in beta at all have reported having the bug. It also has everyone having the same two IDs for the carriers it's trying to spawn, so something odd is going on.

It was a great day for trading tritium. I got a cutter load in preparation for hopefully being able to get my FC tomorrow and could have sold it for a 24 million credit profit one jump away from where I bought it. If the prices hold, it should be possible to load up an FC with it and make 1.8 billion credits a run.
