Notice Fleet Carrier Update - Known Issues

So here i am i stored 598 tons of ltd on my carrier, dicided to que for CQC ingame, on the way to new mining run.

i want to store the next load of LTD there all are gone. Thats a 800 mill bug frontier?

before you asked i didn´t sell them there on buy. Althoug the scrren shows nothing like if there would be sold anything.
Although 3 meta alloys are gone and i see no movement in the graph?

Hello, thats a whole new art of grind. Anyone got the same poopoo.

Be warned don´t do CQC mabe it breaks carrier storrage.

Anyone can help where to find log data

Did you try to logout-login ? It seems to be the miracle solution to everything in the game right now (except for paintjobs and galaxy map markers ;))

yea first thing i did nothing their.

But login logout helps by stolen tritium if you sell your whole load to a carrier and than surprise some stolen tritium is in your hold.

The only current reliable workaround to this is to swap to a ship with a bigger cargo hold to unload the hopper and then donate from there.
Or put to carrier all 1st.
I wrote about above. It happens on LAST only, when you particular donate your cargo and has items into bins. Like 50t of 128t donation. This makes disconnect. Whole cargo donate like 128 of 128 is ok.

IMHO, this should be the time where community managers should be supporting the community, not just announcing beta-blowouts, new paintjobs, gaming rigs or whatever...

We stand largely in the dark on what is going on here.
Is it better for us to back in the game in one week ? one month ? Maybe the launch of the Odyssey DLC ???

I know that this is not their fault...
But they certainly know where to find someone who can give us some something about the progress made by the devs (and I'm not counting fixing of the color of pad 7).

It would be nice to know if ED will be a game worth playing again ;)

Does anyone has any in-game music playing while docked at a fleet carrier? I am docked on mine for 8 minutes now and not a single in-game track played so far. I have specifically turned it back on to see if there maybe was a new track for the FC. But no music plays whatsoever...

Anyone?

And don't forget, Elite takes the highest number of contributions compared to the rest of FDEVs game library. It takes ten contributions before the issues can be 'voted' on (whereas every other game only requires 3-5). So before posting new problems, no matter the console, search for a similar problem first. Also, when posting a problem, state the problem clearly and concisely in the title. A poorly written report (especially the title) makes it difficult for players to decide if it's the same problem they're having, and makes it nearly impossible for the dev team to figure out what you're trying to say is the problem.

Also. Hello Games is a much smaller company, but has much better bug fixing capabilities.
That is the dumbest bug reporting system I have ever heard off.

Like. Yikes.

Nope. It happens ALWAYS if you donate Tritium and still have Tritium in your hopper. In my case this means almost always, as I feed my carrier from mining and I do this in a small ship. Your proposal would work of cause, but given the awkward transfer process into and from the carriers hold, don't you think swapping to a bigger ship isn't much faster?

Watch my video above, that's a typical situation for me.

UPDATE:

I'm pretty sure this trick has worked some days ago, but not anymore! This transfer to the bigger ship avoids the crash (black Adder) but still leaves the 6 hoppers occupied. I need to swap back to the smaller ship then and buy some limpets. This finally empties the hopper. I also see other commanders having even more serious problems with the Tritium donation (they actually seem to lose Tritium on the process). This is a heavy bug that indicates that the whole donation process is broken.
Not sure man, I have 128T and jump takes 200t around. So it is 2 mining runs. I always mine full + hopper full. So "black adder" happens for me on 2nd run always.

Jumping on-board with carrier do not trigger "enter new system" event, which makes whole bunch of bugs like
1. Star is not mapped as visited
2. No print out to log, so other tools like EDSM get broken.
3. many of them

I understand that could be tricky to trigger when PS carrier jumps with PC players. But do that at least for owners online. That could be a start to think on.

Really need to see an update to known issues. I'm assuming the issue tracker is sufficient, but 2 FC patches later and there are still issues upvoted on the tracker that are not on the main post
yeah - issue tracker is where they track issues. Surprising as that may seem to some :)
You say that, but there are issues not acknowledged since January. Hot spot graphics on rings disappearing, for example. Easily a half dozen on the tracker, all still confirming.

There has been at least 2 updates/patches to Carriers. As noted, Frontier needs to be transparent about what it does and does not know, because outwardly it looks like we paid for cosmetics we are not receiving. If they don't want to process a few thousand refunds, then I think an acknowledgement/timeline would be the path of lesser resistance.

I've never been clear on what triggers the ED OST music, but I've only ever heard background sound effects (that damn garbage disposal broken again...). I will respond again if I hear something other than background sound effect.

Even I'm getting a bit annoyed at how little Frontier are communicating. I love this game, and I love my carrier, but it's sad to see how on again off again they are, compared to another game I play a lot of: Path of Exile. Those devs are constantly talking to players and adapting to feedback, and telling us when to expect something or that they're discussing this or that problem internally. You only need to browse their news archive to see that, or how often they release patches with improvements and fixes, especially in the days and weeks after their quarterly expansions, of which they release four times a year like clockwork.

This sort of dropping the ball is really dampening my excitement over my carrier and making me want to play Path of Exile over Elite Dangerous, at least until Frontier engage us better.

Maybe the Frontier fix for all these Carrier Update bugs is the turd known as Frontier Transaction Server. Can't experience them bugs or see that your paint job has changed if your hit with disconnects constantly now can you?

But fear not, server status is "Ok", just ignore those orange sidewinders and scarlet kraits flying by, oh, but be sure to upload your crash report, even though nothings wrong!

This right here!

I honestly don't understand why Fdev have all these community managers if the only time they engage with us consistently is a week before and after a patch is rolled out -or- they are announcing community events. That is all well and good but surely you can spare one or two CMs to actually engage with the community on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (at least). I mean, I personally am not looking for detailed reports or strict timeframes about when all the issues flagged since the Carrier launch and subsequent patch will be resovled but a "Hey, we see all the problems on the issue tracker and the devs are looking into them" would go a long way in assuaging this dead air from Frontier.

They're busy streaming or so .. but who cares. I prefer to play then watch how others play :D

I hear in-game music while docked. I also hear music when I go to the fleet management tab. Both instances the music is really loud.

If we jump to unknown system by carrier AND system has asteroid belt(s) around main star - carrier will land AFTER that belt(s). It can be wide, like 2000ls. Is any reason for that ? FC easy lands PRIOR planets but can't do same for belts?
Also if it is double star ...it may land somewhere in mass center, like 70000ls from entry.

What the hell have you people done to the LTD hot spots all over the Galaxy? I have tried in quite a few LTD hot spots while I take my FC towards the core systems. What do I find in LTD hot spots. NOT LTD Rocks. Instead water, Tritium, and all sorts of other crap we don't collect. Darn well fix the amount of LTD to be found when simply prospecting and using a mining laser to extract. What we have now is an unmitigated disaster.

Please please restore the % to what it was before you nerfed everything in the Galaxy. I am sick of how much you nerfed the LTD % in Rocks in LTD hot spots.
