Look on the bright-side, if this was another similar space game the sale on Fleet Carriers would be over now and many would have missed out.
Hopefully Frontier will start looking at fixing things soon, they should be starting their work day about now.
If this was organised by EA, you would have opened 1k plus of random boxes and would still only have enough parts to build your coffee machine.

I think that's the sticking point with most people. Two betas later, betas where things ran smoother than this mind you, the launch of FC into live is just a tad bordering on.....shoddy, shall we say. Maybe its insane to assume that after all this time the final build would be less buggy than the previous two iterations but tally-ho and all that, what what?
At this rate I don't trust them to sit the the right way on a toilet.

same issues with three different game accounts. Im at Diso and it crashes with a black code when i try to purchase a carrier! Usually frontier roll outs are great this one not so much! I'm loyal to the game and to the company however this is so frustrating when you've worked for weeks in the mining field drilling diamonds to make an extreme 5 billion and hoping to get one of the limited orbital slots. I will keep trying even as each attempyt slowly drains my will to keep playing after what they put me through in grinding terms alone... The clock is ticking and star citizen is looking better with every passing hour!

One does understand your frustration but FDev will get it sorted.
They understand that happy gamers are engaged gamers.
This issue is not intentional, it is simply the result of a few errors and a bit of pressure.
In a few days time you will be loving roaming the stars in your glorified petrol station.

I'm sure in the Beta when making the carrier name there were some odd letters/numbers placed at the end. The darker box that exists now seems to be empty of them?

The Black adder problem with FC sucks. Glad to see so many venting without being mean. Sure beats GTA. Imagine losing 5 percent of your LTD haul 20 percent of the time due to a bug and leave it in the game over 4 years because who fixes bugs that would, if fixed, keep you from getting those shark cards. Can't have the player earning steady money. Even though I hate waiting, I know that they will fix it eventually. Fdev are motivated to keep the playerbase engaged. Its a trade off... I am okay with it.

I do share the frustration of many here but I don't agree giving FDev a hard time for it.
End of the day this is a free update and noone should scream at the devs if things are not working for the first hours/days. I am confident they will fix it very soon.
Keep your fingers away from anything related to FCs for the moment and just play the game as it was before the patch. I've been mining for the last 3 hours and the game works fine. Make yourselves usefull and verify some of the fixes in the patch notes. I can say that the "fragments penetrating astroids" thingy is still there.
Btw, I also cannot buy a carrier because the game tells me I already own one (which I don't).
