Notice Fleet Carrier Update - Known Issues

VERY minor bug... when I order a hip to be moved to the current location, I get an immediate notification for a message. The message isn't there... it's notifying me about the ship delivery. The message itself shows up at the right time.

oops... I reached my "quota" I guess

and no more transfer of tritium possible from my T9

I launched from my Fleet Carrier last night and noticed a chunk of it was missing. I flew in to investigate the interior thinking if would be the best chance I got until space legs comes and was teleported a few hundred kilometres away from it. Now, if I approach the carrier in supercruise, when I drop out it moves away from me at a few km/s, so docking is impossible. I did see a closed issue for this, re-checked and it was fine, but it's started happening again. Perhaps I upset it, am thinking of renaming it the Event Horizon.

Omg, please come up with a better way of transferring Tritium from your FCs cargo hold to the depot WITHOUT the need of having to use a ship with cargo space to perform the transfer. I dont always use a ship with cargo space, but i have to change ships JUST to transfer the Tritium. This is pathetically stupid its beyond belief. What am i paying upkeep for when i have to manually Transfer Tritium myself??

Way out in the black and I use "Carriers" option to look for fleet carriers in the galaxy and I get a 24.3 LY sphere of observation. LOL - this is totally stupid. I said this months ago in the beta blogs, they need to have a very broad area if not the galaxy and show the carriers in small blinking flags (1/4 size of locator flags) so folks can see were they may be able to go for repair or whatever. It wont clutter the map because you turn the option back to the stars option when done looking.

As it is there's virtually no way to locate Fleet Carriers about the Galaxy. At first glance it may seem like a small thing but, when you consider Fleet Carriers, you realize its a rather profound flaw in the whole Fleet Carrier concept.

Right. Its totally ridiculous. Can you imagine an aircraft carrier using an F18 to move fuel around the ship.

Okay, I finally landed on my carrier and went to transfer my ships on...

Apparently it sells the cobra mk3, diamondback scout, asp explorer and python despite not having the shipyard service installed?

That you can sell your data at your fleet carrier UC, then decommission it for pennies and suicidewinder back to civilisation must surely be a known issue as well! Right?

:D S

It takes 7 days to decom. Not many places you can’t get back from in 7 days going full out with an explorer build.

Nevermind

Well when I woke up this morning and started the game up I had a message from the crew saying this....

The scheduled jump of your carrier has been delayed due to a telemetary fault and not your fault. We apologise for this as your crew.

A new cycle of system checks is underway and the hyperspace jump attempt will be repeated soon.

THE JUMP TOOK PLACE while I was sleeping. I found myself in the Bubble.
Regards,
Lynette Callahan
Deck Officer of xxxxxxx

So I am jumping around the bubble to test it before I trust this Carrier on a long jump.

The Carrier View reappeared which assured me it was ok. Before that was gone and left with nothing.

The timers are there and the process goes properly which once I am ready will try a long run again.

Good luck to you all.

I feel like glitches like this one aren't worth submitting a ticket for:

At about 9:30 in the countdown, the PA gives the normal warning, but then follows it by saying "This carrier jump has been cancelled." Freaked me out a bit, I looked, the clock is still ticking.

Hope it doesn't leave me behind like it did earlier today.

Commodities Market Bug:
Unable to sell various legal commodities seemingly anywhere.
Selling Meta Alloys and most other things seem to work. Other items like thargoid items (links, tissue samples etc), and the rare good Jaradharre puzzle box (possibly other rares also?) that are both legal and non-stolen do not show as being able to be sold to the station despite being in my ship's hold. Items purchases at the stations can still be sold back without issue even with near zero demand.

I am also carrying stolen Military courier items and toxic waste including some duplicates of stolen and non-stolen goods (meta alloys, sensors etc).

I have tried multiple stations/markets, and tried filters (both cleared and not) to make sure i was not over looking the items on the sell screen.

I suspect this may be an issue with demand (selling the commodities back to the station still list '1' for demand). Previous to the update commodities being sold back to a station they were purchased at showed as 0 for demand if memory serves. (Can't remember for certain). If it is intended for zero demand commodities to not be sellable it has the side effect of making some legal rares and thargoid items seemingly unsellable as well.
All Thargoid stuff seems to be all marked as illegal now. Still not sure what is going on with rares. (The issue seems very odd)

Selling black boxes etc via the appropriate contact works fine.
