Just to clarify is this an update to the old beta many of us have installed or is this a new sku we need to locate in the Xbox store without a code?

While it did update the beta Xbox game app, there is still an access issue which either is the server is down or the game we updated is not connecting to the current beta as this is the same error as before the update.

be patient.. we all know that Microsoft likes to roll out updates slowly.

FDev said it was a publishing issue. This new connection issue is something different.
