Fleet Carriers Update patch 1 - Downtime and patch notes

OK, just in case someone from FDev is reading this forum I will repeat a very requested feature:

Please let us transfer tritium directly from FC cargo to fuel depot (without needing a CMDR's ship) and let us do it remotely too.

There is no logic and no place for such a "game mechanic". Why are we paying all those credits to various crew members?

When I asked Stephen during a twitch stream about this he said that "it has been forwarded to the dev team etc. etc" but we never heard an explanation or a reason why this still hasn't been introduced.
The same goes for inputting numbers in all those FC menus.

What are the reasons for these decisions?

It's because they don't want drone carriers wandering the galaxy, they want CMDRs to be there in command as much as possible. If you want to remote refuel, then get an alt basic account (they were on sale last week) buy a T-9 and leave it on the carrier to transfer the fuel.

are u serious? does that sound like a good gameplay mechanic?

They still didn't fix the bug where all the ships around a warping carrier get to see the light show, but the people on the ferry are stuck in their cars with no windows.

This really could be easily fixed too. They could enable using the free camera mode while inside the Carrier and then move it out of the carrier. Problem solved. This should just be a case of "allow camera to clip the fleet carrier". Another option would be to enable some camera mode options while docked on a fleet carrier to view the fleet carrier in addition to our own ship. Maybe add in a "post jump routine" so the camera closes after the jump so we are now looking in the new system. I personally would accept and welcome a loading screen/delay after the jump whichever is necessary to have that view for the jump instead of during the jump.

Likewise, I also wish that we could keep the external camera view when jumping to another system. It would be so amazing to see all that galaxy and stars and such in witch space lighting our ships up as it passes or to see our ships go all crazy when a thargoid hyperdiction occurs.

Our desire for this is the experience it offers. Being inside a box during all this awesome jump stuff is an experience for the ears. But at least for me, I feel like we are also denied the experience of observing what is happening to us and the carrier we are in.

Ever since I started playing this game since the release on xbox, Frontier have continually chosen to nerf anything profitable that large numbers of players enjoyed. There also are and have always been people who get upset about others making money faster than they did, citing these current methods as somehow cheating, game breaking exploits and calling for nerfs. I remember the numerous vilifying posts on those who made money in Robigo smuggling missions way back in the day, causing fdev to nerf them from existence. Normally these are also people who have made billions and bought all the ships they want and it seems history repeats itself today reading this thread. Cannot see why the devs felt the need to nerf mining when it is one of the few and less onerous ways to realistically finance and run a fleet carrier. Especially if play time is limited. Therefore instead of nerfing why not buff all other roles. Nerfing just increases the grind to make credits, not the fun factor of the game.

their mechanics are based on you spending the maximum number of hours stuck in their game, no matter doing what 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, but there's a fine line between alienating the playerbase and actually keeping people interested & invested in their game.
If you implement boring or annoying timesinks you might loose more people..
Would be nice to see devs working on making a game more fun, instead of dedicating all their hard work to making a game more profitable..but i guess that's not lucrative.

So I flew into a single hot spot LTD, right into the middle. After checking 20 roids which showed on bright on pulse scanner I fond none(!) which contained any LTD.

Anyone else has this? Earlier today after the patch I have found LTD in the tripple hot spot, but is it possible they broke the single ones with the nerf?

I found alot less LTD subsurface deposits in all spots I dropped in.

Besides the mining, tritium trading seems to not be a thing anymore. Kinda sad to see trucking not being viable anymore.
edit: i was wrong about tritium, but the only good route revolves around the only station that sells tritium for 4k

Threat 5 Thargoid Cyclops are only instancing in 1 in 5 instances!!! My Fleet Carrier keeps going to default paint after update and I've bought with Arx paint and added it via livery. Every time I instance it's changed back... Also what Fdev, We spent 5 Billion + outfitting services and paying our upkeep. Why can't the fleet carrier control recognise there Captain and not treat us like random visitors!!! Not really that hard to input. Sheer laziness i guess... No Control on leaving or entering regular stations either. Dam that's some fix... NOT

Because of stability issues, I stopped playing last Thursday. I thought I'd give it another go tonight, after todays patch and it crashed twice in 30 minutes. So I'll leave it for at least another week, until they've fixed this.

I just hope it's sorted before I set off for the final leg of the Lore tour.

I was able to mine 500t of LTD in that same hotspot post-patch using a hybrid of laser and SSD mining in about 2 hours just fine, and I could have done it faster if I wasn't going at a leisurely pace!

If you'd like, I'd be happy to wing up with you and try mining together. Direct message me in-game if you're interested.
Thank you very much, really appreciate your proposition, but I've already uninstalled the game. I prefer to not playing games where developers trying to force the community play their way, regardless of how not fun it is, while don't respect player's time and/or money investment. I've invested both enough and just don't want to do it anymore.

Thank you again and forgive my terrible English, please :)

P.S. Don't get me wrong - when speaking about time investment I mean not only high profit from LTD mining, but low profit from other activities. And from my point of view, you should not break anything that working well, but fix things that underperforms instead.

Yeah carrier upkeep does

You want to buy a five billion credit carrier but 20 mil a week would kill you? I can make 20 mil in ten to 15 minutes EASY with just bulk trading or a single decent mission. By the time you can afford a carrier you should have enough rank and good enough ships to be able to earn that amount of credits without a hassle.
