Funny how yall let the credits flow so folks could buy the new ahhhmazzzing content then when you can't support the load you yank the rug out. I'm 8k hours and 25bil in assets so I'm good, but you really shafted the people you tricked into an easy buy. Big yikes. Oh and you didn't nerf mining... rinse repeat on subsurface works fine still. All you did was punish mininers who were playing legitimately, wonder how many will use that easy relog trick to get around this short sighted action? Sigh.

I filled up 192 units of LTDs sub surface mining in 35 minutes. Why don't all you NERF complainers stop catastrophising, chill out and go mine some diamonds.

The 25% nerf is for sub-surface deposits, not laser mining

Fair enough... but I read this:

Overlapping hotspots for Low Temperature Diamonds, when coupled with the new Subsurface Mining changes, were more effective than the centre of the hotspot itself. This change increases the drop-off of the hotspot's ring, reducing the likelihood that a double-overlapped hotspot is more lucrative than either of the hotspot's centrepoints. A well-placed triple hotspot will still be very effective at increasing the likelihood of finding Low Temperature Diamonds. This change does not affect any other hotspots or minerals.

Which, to me, looked as if laser mining would be afffected. It's just the way I read it ;)

I haven't had a chance to mine yet today so I'm not 100% sure how big the overall impact of this will be but I think the subsurface nerf was needed. I had a single rock yesterday with 4 SS LTD deposits. Even though I only succeed around 75% of the time on the mini game I ended up with over 90 tonnes of LTDs from that one rock. That's nearly 1/2 of my Pythons cargo space of 192 tonnes. If I had done better on the mini game I might have got 120+ tonnes from a single rock.

Issues with fleet carriers that i have noticed since the patch:
  • Carrier paint resets every time I see it
  • Duplicated navigation markers

I'll update this as more things break

Nothing in the patch notes to fix Fleet Carrier Universal Cartographic's many bugs as an example? Shame......Typical though, more worried about Nerfing, ARX, Text and Journal crap. You call this a patch?? FDEV have you been reading your Issue Tracker that you tell us to use?

What a waste of my time to add to the Issue Tracker. I do not believe that I will be adding to the Issue Tracker anymore. There is no point anymore as FDEV does not use it to fix bugs that need to be fixed.

Then they shouldnt have broken it in the first place. They promised after the last two fiasco patches they would do better. They failed, they always fail. I'm just at the breaking point where it's not worth playing a game than destroys everything you do with every patch. Why bother doing it at all?

Haha, you think FD can make a patch without breaking something? You must be new here! :D

Every major patch they break something completely unreleated to anything they meant to change.

Easy to say they "shouldn't" but this is the reality.

Ah, the lovely open letter where people demanded the return of betas that would make release patches so much better. Where people convinently forgot how we used to have betas and things still messed up.

Sorry dude, this is the reality of it. Every major (and sometimes minor) patch FD mess something up. The good thing is they usually fix the major issues within a week or two. If you can't handle that, then yeah, best to avoid the game, or at least don't play for a few weeks after a patch.

Well, chose the wrong one. Result: Mauve Adder and three finger solute, entire home network knocked off-line requiring full cable modem and router reboot. Nice.

Edit: Given the update, I think I better perform a complete machine logout.

Edit2: Successful docking to the 2nd FC in the list. So y'all might want to dock to your 2nd FC if two of your FC's show in the same system list.

Yeah I'll confirm that this screws up my paint job every time I turn around. Reselect, it fixes, until I dunno, I do ANYTHING and it switches back to default.

This makes me want my cash $$ back that I spent on ARX. Don't normally like to spend money for ARX, but out of good will and enthusiasm for the FC update I did. Grr.

And this is why I'm hoping for Frontiers bankruptcy at this point. They are a cancer in the game development industry that needs to be cut away. People need to stop giving them money to produce junk.

Of course I know that's a pipe dream, all they have to do is flash something fancy like a spacelegs video and people throw money at them, even though the update will likely have no substance and be very badly coded.
