...pation.
Well, I do try VO, LTD during my fly on FC. Usually singles ones. What I see ... it is easy to meet 0 spot's rocks during 30-40 mins. You see tens of yellow rocks, but they're are oxygen/water/bromelite/tritium/tritium again/double tritium moreChanges in single spot probabilities are described in Bruce' post:
So:
- single spot effect doubled. I don't know what it was before - let's assume (just for the sake of discussion) that a hotspot originally meant a +100% chance of finding the hotspot material, or twice as many asteroids carrying the material as before. With these changes, the likelihood would go to three times the base likelihood in a single hotspot. E.g. if there are (on average) 2 interesting asteroids in a given volume as base likelihood in the ring, you would have had 4 in a single hotspot before, and may have 6 in a single hotspot now. Still doesn't mean you'll find any of them, though
.
- overlap effect reduced. Again, just for the sake of discussion, assume overlaps were adding up directly in the old scheme, and now they would only be adding 25% in the new scheme.
So
is one possibility - it all depends on the exact numbers, but in effect, the amount of intersting rocks in a triple hotspot may be increased, reduced or unchanged. What Bruce states is that the ratio between triple and single has been changed, so it may be more profitable to saty in a close single hotspot than vebturing out to a remote triple hotspot.
base single double triple Old 2 +100% = 4 +200% = 6 +300% = 8 New 2 +200% = 6 +250% = 7 +300% = 8
I guess that the Elite Miners will have the exact pre-patch numbers and can correct this table - I just chose some simple numbers in the hope of an explanation.
Interesting observation... On my last trip (a couple of days ago) out to a VO hotspot I was finding many other cores than VO's - flying away from the cenre of the hotspot, getting ready to change to a LTD one, I then started running into VO cores, and ended up with 100 picked up in around 30 minutes... So I just stopped trying. I doubt their "x2" will solve it. I will see 18 rocks instead 10. Still good chances to miss ltd
Yeh, once u got rock u will mine fast. Yield is huge. Problem is - u see ALL yellow around and not a proper oneInteresting observation... True, a year ago any hotspot had a far greater yield of 'Bright Yellow' rocks with the hotspot contents, now the number appears much lower and too mixed, hopefully Wednesday's patch might put it right, I'll check straight after downloading itYeh, once u got rock u will mine fast. Year ago it was 1-2 yellows on sight, so it was not so annoying.
tnx man.... i guess I was writing when u postedI tried... two posts above where your question ended up: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/fleet-carriers-update-patch-3.550333/post-8589904
Pffft - some of us (me) had an entire crew of Fred Bloggses (Bloggs’s? Bloggi?)...So the real question is..... How do I get Fred Bloggs on my carrier.
Insert Fred Bloggs meme.
Yeh, not mentioned. What about the issue of Fleet Carriers crashing players to desktop who try to watch it jump into a system? Did I miss that note?
I can not tell you how much I hope that this happens. Can you imagine the salt? Waking up one morning and your Fleet Carrier is just gone...and it's all your fault because you abused an exploit? ELL OH ELL, CMDR's. o7Rockforth. Never forget.
I don't see much of a difference using the SLF to respawn deposits and things like relogging to regen engineering mats at crash sites or getting guardian oblesik data.@Bruce Garrido Thanks for the patch notes.
2 questions please and I sincerely hope you will not ignore them: Does FDEV consider the recent extensive money making from mining by abusing the bugs as an exploit? And if yes, will an action be taken against the players that used it to rectify the problem?
If not, can you provide reasoning behind that decision? Would greatly appreciate.
Thanks.
Bumper sticker spotted on a passing FC:So the real question is..... How do I get Fred Bloggs on my carrier.

I would agree with you except for one subtle difference. Relogging at Dav's Hope only allows me to modify assets that I currently have purchased. the SLF mining glitch allows me to acquire new assets.I don't see much of a difference using the SLF to respawn deposits and things like relogging to regen engineering mats at crash sites or getting guardian oblesik data.
