Patch Notes Fleet Carriers Update - Patch 4 Patch Notes

Lol.

Did you even see how many keystrokes does this script?
d,d,space : to enter "transfer" menu
w. hold w, w, space : to push the "transfer all" button
s, hold s, s,d,space : to push "confirm" button

Of course it will only work if you have WASD UI control with space as confirmation

Until I was checking refinery prior that what I usually do to ensure I have cargo + ref full. And this part is most annoying - return from those refinery to "transfer" visible.

(...) inventory could be in many states, like mats or refinery...
(...)

And again, forcibly inventing problems.

I have to check or set the "4" tab ONCE, before the first use, to inventory tab.
In following rounds it just stays like this.
It will stay like this until you mess with tabs manually or reload the game.

This is a specialized script, to save me from boring pressing of 14 keystrokes, including holding twice when scrolling.
No more, no less, and it does it's job perfectly so far.

Exactly, and why shouldn't I check cargo? :D
I saw similar vids on yourtube to do autodock. That works until u request docking at 8000 and then whole menu & macro is broken.

That are cases when better don't have any soft.

For example I was automating dialog clicks in LA2. Same problem - moved window - all broken, BUT i had a way to fix it - restart game. I had scrip which was setting all windows to exact positions on start. So anythinjg messed - restart. That works, because no manual todo. Just restart.

Lol.

Again a case of "swimming pools are useless" argument with people who say that because they can't swim.
Script works perfectly FOR ME, because I know HOW it works exactly.
Of course it's not idiot-proof and messing with tabs can "break" it's usefulness.

Having scripts that are not "idiot-proof" is not a problem for me,
you have to answer to yourself if it's the same case for you.

And what's more important - why.

Simple ...i can be playing 20 hours already and mess it, or just got some beer.
Any way ...yeh, do whatever, just don't recommend others. That is hard to repeat. So you cannot assume everybody boost productivity in this way.

Gotta admit, I can't remember the last time a docking script has failed for me, why would you request docking outside of docking range? I use voice attack btw, very stable.

I admit, I have my limits.
For example I cant understand how
substituting 14 keystrokes repeated several times every few minutes
while making several Triutium buys
with one hotkey
could be not useful for anyone.

And I will happily stay in my "ignorance".

Whatever floats your boat.

Yeh, and we argue about bugs/nerfs/too slow/anything we should assume worst case.
For example, SSD mining makes physical pain in hands if mouse played or box-controller played in couple hours. So you cannot suggest it as main tritium source for long.
Those menus are extra inconvenient, even you automated it. However .. most people will do it manually, so that adds load/unload time a lot.
FA-OFF near impossible to do and keep for long on mouse. But everybody recommend it ...they forgot they use joystick.

So I'm just saying, prior throwing some common recommendation think, maybe you have some advance because of using something not common.

I just wanted to share my luck.
Currently topping my FC with cheap Tritium.
It's not like I couldn't afford it at the expensive price, I've made billions even after patch with Painite mining.

I just feel it would be wrong to leave this opportunity to peasants.

:sneaky:

This was not possible post-patch. Even yesterday, there were only about 10-15 stations carrying tritium at 4k/T and their supply was usually single digits. As of this morning, I see there are quite a few stations carrying tritium at 4k/t and several have 10K+ supply.

Panels reset when you jump. If you consult Transactions while traveling to a station and forget to reset manually, the macro won't work. I've also had problems supercruising between stations in a system.

Then there's an odd thing I notice when returning to Robigo Mines after a Sirius Atmospherics run: if you open Contacts when returning to Robigo, the 'Request Docking' button hasn't reset after your last request. And that's after, presumably, four jump-related panel resets.

I have a host of macros for doing Voice Attack stuff in panels ("Open Synthesis") which I don't use because I get caught out by the panels not being reset. I long for a bindable 'Reset panels' command I could put at the start of my macros.

I never did. And I explicite named SSD mining as "emergency solution".

Never did this too.
Someone asked or even accused me of using some specific hardware when I mentioned automation of some annoying part of "UI struggle".
So I pasted my script as proof that it's possible in general (Autohotkey is not a hardware specific software, unlike Hotas TARGET for example)

Oh, it was you.

So in short, you got your answer and now you rebuke me for answering?

Sweet.

Have never used it, but there is a cmd to reset panel states, think it is part of the A.S.T.R.A pack.. Don't quote me on that tho! Been years since I used those packs 😅

It's a common issue, but it does reset after a few seconds at most.
So, if your docking script has to be reliable, you just need to add some idle seconds before sending "press button" keystroke.
It's this or you just keep your eyes open when scripts are running.

I wouldn't recommend leaving ED with scripts unattended, unless someone likes to take some risks.
