Fleet Carriers will need increased ship storage space soon...

Current limit is 40 ships.

If you have 1 of every ship available to date (no including those behind the ARX paywall), including the CM4, you will have 39 ships. If you put them all on the FC, that's 38 slots, plus the one you are flying.

Now add in the Type 8 and Mandalay, that's 40 slots, plus the 1 you are flying..

But FD said there will be 4 new ships, that will put us at 42 ships total, requiring 41 slots on the FC.

I wonder if FD have thought about this.

PS: I do realize some people may have more than this already, some people having multiple ships of the same type.

Think they should increase storage to 1000 which would give us some wiggling room, but if this comes at the expense of more lag! Then no. Lol.
Or at least consider changing the way we login & play ie the removal of peer to peer.

I'm not yet in this position, but I am slowly building my fleet up and looking forward to getting a carrier. I'm currently based out of a planetary port, and when I get my carrier it will house my most used ships, while the planetary port acts as my mothballed storage. I can rotate ships as the mood strikes me Realistically I'm never going to need all 40+ ships at my fingertips; I can't even think of 40+ things to build for.

I have 40 ships including 7 duplicates but less than 30 of them are on my FC so this might be an issue soon.
Except that three of the ships I own were obtained when rank requirements were removed one Christmas and weren’t sold immediately as I wasn’t then able to get them back later I also purchased some ships to qualify for a badge, which means I have several ships I can sell off if needed. Although I might need to check their modules to see if there are any good ones.

i agree. it has been my long term goal to own one of every ship in the game. it is unlikely to ever happen but further more how i would love to be able to walk around my hangar and see all my ships in one place (albeit likely with some of them stacked on top of each other etc)

It should be noted that large ships (T9s) used for module storage also take up ship slots on the carrier. I only keep a couple on my fleet carrier for modules I might want at remote locations. The other T9 module storage ships I keep at Shinrarta Dehzra where I typically build new ships.

I am down to only 5 Couriers & 2 FDLs now, so winning, slowly...
Hey, that's impressive. While I'll admit I'm not as much of a FDL fanboy as most, I do love a Courier more than is possibly legal. I've actually avoided both so far since I reset to push me into trying other things and am enjoying the experience. The Diamondback Scout has become an unexpected favourite!

I really can never find a use or a loadout for the FdL i'm happy with. Its one of my least used ships.
I've a couple fitted out to suit my purpose, all Multis is hilarious fun in a Med CZ (not enough ammo to complete a high) and certainly not 'efficient'...
It all depends on how much combat makes up gameplay, been doing a lot less recently...

Yebbut,
You can't count the Asp Scout... So plenty of room
in my "mini wipe" where i started from scratch, albeit with an imperial eagle (i deliberately flew to an area of space i had no reputation with and then bankrupted myself leaving me just with a posh eagle) I bought and specced out an asp scout (infact i used all the ginger step child ships for a few months)

i mean, it was great at nothing in particular............. but it was still an ok ship.

I wouldn't mind - i only have like 51 ships and i dont have one of each - i do have 3 pythons, 3 conda and 3 cutters, and like 5 Type10 used for module storage.

Actually, i'd be also good with an increase in module storage from 200 to 600 - i could get rid of 10+ mule ships

To those with a bazillion stored modules, will you ever use most of them? A long time ago I also hoarded modules, then went through them all and asked myself "Will i never really need this?" and the answer to most was "no", so I sold them. Never really regretted it.

At least with the ships i deliberately rotate through most of them just to fly something different from time to time.
