Yep, Red Foxes have been put as a no .. I have tons of them rofl
Gharials I don't seem to have little problems with, I give them a big area though. Let me check on mine again.
Okay, My Gharials were ready before the challenge started, the new ones are sitting at 1 star at the moment, but all but the male are just adults so have almost 20 years to get their 3 stars and all have 1 star already. My gharials are usually in river runs .. long and thin with low walls or wired barriers. Here's the latest one at 2km land, 1km water. It gives the male and his harem room to grow their family. Under normal circumstances I cash out gharials after 4 or 5 babies as they can get you 1k in cash, but this time it's run them until they get 3 stars or close to death. With the end result being lots of babies to work through rofl.

Leave the adults in the trade center while the babies age up at 5x speed. The individuals in the trade center will still gain stars as long as the zoo is running, but won't age.

I see we still haven't made it to 1 percent....
That's the strange thing. The percentages appear different for different people. Or even different for the same person depending on where you view it.

God bless your friend and their 1000 releases. That's darn impressive.
Any suggestions to pass along to speed up our progress. I am at 30 and that has felt like a grind.
Thank you for this information. I feel like this challenge need an overall fix on several things now.
Are you sure it's not the case of one person on Console and the other on PC ?
Console is currently winning with 27% showing as done on the website
PC is currently sitting on their butts with 0% showing as done on the website. ( which tallies with my in game view ).
And with me at 11 releases and in the second top group in the chart .. how many in total for PC does that mean ? ponders
Seeing as 1% of 10,000 is 100. It might simply mean that PC Players haven't reached that 100 mark yet, or not enough to tick over to 1%.
Now for the vast difference between the versions .. could be down to numbers playing on Franchise. Or, to the fact, as Jamie mentioned, that it could be bugged for us, at least on PC, and not letting us get credit for animals we expected to get credit for.

I just tried released my 4* Snow Leopard in my S zoo but no credit given.
Thanks for checking. So animals for this challenge is very limited, and most species that works takes a long time to gain stars (due to long lifespan)... I'll need to consider strategies.
I play on PC as well.
I play on PC, I released 25 creatures and it's hard to believe we didn't hit 100 collectively yet
