Franchise Community Challenge Discussion

Just checked on steam and looks like at least 2 people there looking at the PC numbers, so likely PC users. I've asked at least one of them by name to say how many they have released and where they are on the bar chart.

Okay .. I'm at step 2 with 11 ( 12 now ), and you're at step 1 with 25. Jamie, how many and where are you ? That might give us an idea of how many the top x% of PC Franchise players are at

panics Are we the only players on PC rofl
Wouldn't that be funny?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm at step 3, I've been slacking because seeing that bar at 0% is just sad XD
Edit- I'm at step 2 now at 14 animals released.

Okay, so sounds like 15-25 might be the bar at the moment to reach step 1. And with 25 + 12 + 14 = 51 .. half way to that 1% mark with the 3 of us rofl

I'm on step 3 with 7 contributions so far - hoping that that will speed up with large batches of gharials, peafowls and flamingos slowly cooking.
Would have been able to triple that number with my 4 Dhole habitats; but who would have guessed that Timber Wolves were more Indian

But having done career mode, I've only been doing franchise for a few weeks and pretty certain I'm doing this all worng :)
So 38 habitats and a slow pc so I need to keep guests low, means struggling for money and dealing with constant events and going very slow.

I'll do what I can for this challenge, and then do it very differently next time :p

All the screenshots were from PC.
Oh, that would mean your friends' 1000+ released animals don't count towards the collective goal. Or we need to release 10K creatures per person, and no one has yet completed that (that's where 0% comes from). I would call it a broken challenge :( Maybe we'll have more luck next time (anniversary challenge, hopefully).

It's a learning curve .. find out what works for you and stick with it. Every animal helps. With alot of animals having a timing issue to reach those 3 stars I won't start panicking until we get to 2 days with more than 25% to go rofl

Honestly, it's so annoying that some iconic animals from India aren't included. Especially dholes and sloth bears.

Agree, but having fun though:

Thanks: kid going mad in a candy shop, after escaping the constraints of the career mode
Wish the guests agreed though, I can't get most of them out of the top corner!
You could try advertising screens for animals in another part of the zoo .. or spread any shops around to force them to move to the next shop.
What have you got in that corner that isn't anywhere else .. that could be your clue to what you could put in other areas.
I see the entrance is in that corner area .. and is likely where you put a lot of stuff to keep the people in the zoo in the early days. Maybe take a look and see if you can thin out what you have in that corner and distribute them around.
And, if you have the money, you could try a circular transport route through the habitats that end up back to the entrance again with intermediate stops to the key areas you want them to see. It will help distribute them and they use it to go home too rofl. I've had guests use a vehicle a few feet away from the entrance .. ride the transport back to the same station and then go home .. last minute cash rofl

Yes, haha, I know the feeling! Very nice!

As for the guests sticking to the entrance area, one method to solve this problem is adding another entrance on the opposite side of the park. If it doesn't feel like a cheat? Adding a ride can be helpful too. And placing high-appeal species further away from the main entrance. Placing animal talks sometimes helps too :)

Thanks both for the suggestions
Already got the most appealing animals at a distance, and shops spread out; so a 2nd entrance might not feel like cheating . . .
And from my experience with career mode, transport rides themselves are a way to lose money, but I'd not considered the knock on effects of spreading the guests around.
And not heard of advertising screens at all, so will need to investigate . . .

But only selling the occasional animal for cash and just about breaking even for now, so will need to join this thread in refocusing on the challenge - sorry for the side quest

That's the strange thing. The percentages appear different for different people. Or even different for the same person depending on where you view it.

In-game for a friend of mine it looks like this:

But for me in-game it looks like this:

But on the website it looks like this:

Wow. What I want to know is how your friend got to 1000 already. I am at 30 and that felt like a major grind!

Can you share some strategy?
