Franchise Community Challenge Discussion

You know things are bad when you get excited at hitting 20 released 🤣

My 5th T-Z is dying again .. 98% animal, 95% staff, 50% guests .. aargh .. next mission, learn how to keep guests happy once your zoo grows beyond the entrance area 🤣
I'm on my 5th GHI zoo as well.. the gharials are usually my money maker but of course being utilised for the challenge rofl.

This is my main money source: 6 pens, each giving about 600cc / $12,000 per anum
Sadly, long gone are the days when they always give CC

Spoiler: "You can buy Tigers, Elephants and Wolves directly that are already at 3 ***s"
Yeah but I always want to breed at least 1 litter from every animal I buy to keep diversify the gene pool in my zoos. ;) Preferably I want at least 2 offspring from every animal - one offspring to keep for my own zoos and another to sell to other players (if it's any good) so they get a chance for a new good animal in their gene pool too. (Yes; I am the kind of player that loves playing "support" to other players. xD Which is why my main focus when playing in general is breeding animals with good stats to sell to other players so they'll have good breeders too haha)

I only did it a few times:
- once almost by accident and just because I needed space in my trade centre,
- and twice more because I needed sleep and hadn't yet hit my bedtime target :geek:

Won't be doing it again though
Getting the breeding going with the same strategy as you: breed once, then sell, unless they're exceptional.

Both very valid reasons. xD Not that there is a "wrong" way to play the game. I'm not judging anyone who buys animals and release them immediately, just wanted to mention that my own strategy is different to fit the way I play the game. ;)

Yeah same here .. PZ is my social trading game .. Depending on the social grouping/breeding requirements I keep some, trade others, sell/release rest. Rinse and repeat. I switch to selling only if I need the money, and release if trading doesn't get me the credits I might need if I drop to 20k .. currently at 70k so sitting comfortably.

I am the friend with 1000 releases. My ingame % raises with each 100 animals, so that is correct. But it does not seem to be a community challenge, if it is 10k per person? Something went wrong with this challenge and I hope enough people report it.

I will have 2k released by tonight, but I will not be able to reach 10k by the end of the challenge.

And for everyone wondering: Bengal Tigers are almost instantly on 3 stars. Just place them in the trade center, until their parents are around 14 years old. Release the parents (they should be 7500 - 5 stars by now). Get a new breeding pair and release the rest of the offspring.
What's your game showing for you now ? Hopefully your number display is what they will use as success/failure scenario.

I've always earned waaaaaaay more CC than I spend. 😅 Simply by breeding the way I do and selling animals at whatever price the game suggests (because I'm too lazy to change it) or lower (if I remember to change it haha), logging in most days (even when I only have time to play for a few minutes sometimes). And because I kind of rarely need to buy new animals once I've established a few populations over my different zoos. So when I buy animals I very often buy the 10k ones without even a dent in my CC pile. xD
I very often see my own animals returned on the market because people buy them and resell them higher. (possibly offended by my cheap prices? xD I don't know...) Which... is not my goal with selling them kind-of cheap. I started doing it to give newbies a chance to grab good animals kind of cheap - and for established players to get good breeding animals cheap. Those are still my main goals but I also sell animals cheap now because I don't need the CC. 😅 And since earning this much CC didn't really happen on purpose I'm always curious when people say they struggle with CC? (I've never done the "farming" thing either so...)
My recommendation will probably always be; try to breed good animals to sell. It has certainly worked for me. ;) (and I always love seeing more animals on the market because I often struggle to find ones that have good enough stats for me to want to buy them)

Yeah, I never touch the prices. And often see my own animals come back - I see a familiar name and have to check rofl.
And now time for a break .. storage full again with a ton of gharial and peafowl on the market rofl for the next 40-60 minutes.

I am seeing 7% complete with 655 animals contributed, so it is counting some animals from the global total... hopefully they fix the bug before the end of the challenge.

Thanks .. curiously enough .. 655 out of 10,000 is 0.0655 which is 6.55% .. so, it does indeed seem as if the in game display is only showing our personal completion % and not the community as a whole. Which would explain why the majority of us with less than 100 animals each released are sitting at 0%

So, theoretically, if the they have for some reason, error or not, set this up in game, it could be what is affecting the global % on the website.

Edit:Just checked steam and someone there has release 215 and are showing as 2% on their screen.

Yeah I give all the animals I sell my franchise "surname", and usually the people reselling are kind enough not to change the name so I don't have to double-check that I'm not buying my own animal back. xD (since that wouldn't help me much with diversity of the gene pool - which is what I'm after when buying animals) So I appreciate when they leave it. And hey - good for them if they get extra CC out of it if they find it's worth their time playing that way. Wasn't my intention, but not my place to judge how they play. :)

It shows "only" what fits to the animals i released. Sometimes 1% more than I would calculate, but it did not raise since I played last and I would expect that at least one person has been releasing animals in the last 12 hours.

Hrmm. maybe it is just rounding up when you get above 50 then. Hopefully it is processing correctly in the background and we still get the win on PC as well.

Yeah that is what I am hoping, but the website not showing the total is making me worry a bit onto the other side of that hope meter.

Someone on steam mentioned regional servers maybe being a factor. It's possible if they do have regional servers. But not knowing what regions have servers makes that awkward to check.

Mhhh I do not believe that 0% can be the european regional server. There has to be more players by how fast I am selling animals. But we will see. I am home all day tomorrow, so I can at least get it to 60% done
