Franchise Community Challenge Discussion

Just set up the Jaguars and opened the doors ( need to recover that 50k loan rofl ). -33k so far rofl but only 3 years left of the loan so hopefully the loan payment and interest disappearing after then mean that I'll be making money to start building up the areas nearest the entrance.

Finally got some cash back ( the last few thousand I got from selling my T-Z animals that weren't cats rofl. Won't be working on that zoo for a while yet so those ones can be re-acquired at a later date rofl. Which meant I could get the Cougar habitat completed for guests to donate money to .. cough .. I mean visit the animals.

I did notice however that you can put off getting food and drink for 10 years or more. Their thirst and hunger meters were still at the half way mark at year 15 but their spending was dipping on donations because they were complaining of thirst. so, the jaguar visitors now have a set of drinking vending machines to sate their thirst rofl.

I'll put food machines in the cougar area.

2 more loans and the Caracal and Eurasian Lynx Habitats populated. Starting to make reasonable money now but people are still saying the zoo is small rofl. I guess they mean small in content rather than size rofl.

Bengal Tigers now in place - 3 variants taking over India, and a habitat for the cubs too, extending into Sri Lanka
(might need to adjust the monorail if it upsets the Golden Tigers)

I seem to be developing enclaves in the various continents, trying to have a distinct style for each.
I will probably need to start filling in the gaps to keep the guests happy - Lynxes next, which should help

But I do wish we had more than the two choices for the restaurant tables :(

Imagine getting static cloth pieces to put over the tables. That'd be super fun...
But yeah, I'd love to have corner booths, bar stalls, even new variants of what we have
Great idea - not quite what you mentioned, but we have lots of scenery to just put on top:

A few choices of picnic canopies help a bit, but I do think the "Indian Architecture Tower Small Round 01" looks enough like a table cloth !

Very nice. Yeah, mine is a little spacious, but that means I have tons of places to place guest and staff stuff to shut them up rofl. But not as spacious as yours rofl. Up to 27k now with just 1 set of drinks machines ( 2 x 2 ) and 1 set of food machines ( 1 of each ) and 1 toilet and they are still happily spending money rofl. 36K of the 50k of income is from donations .. so will have to keep those donations going rofl.

I already have 4 jaguars ready to release when the challenge goes live. Sitting in storage.

Sand Cat and Palla's Cat are next on the list which should help get the guests moving up the zoo some more. I'll probably place a restaurant between the Caracal and Sand Cat though and a gift store eventually between the Eurasian Lynx and Pallas Cat.

And it's only taken me 5 years to realise I can search for the latin names on the sites zoopedia rofl. And as you can see, the jaguar is my only challenge cat in this zoo rofl. Better move along quick to get the Amur Leopard and Bengal Tiger in their spots before the challenge starts proper.. giving me the week to work on the zoo while I wait for those 5* animals rofl.

I'm still happy to round out my zoo with every cat in the game and plug in some of the gaps - can't have the guests walking across the whole of Europe to find the first habitat ;)

Well, added the Bengal Tiger, Sand Cat and Pallas Cat and Restaurant and Souvenir Stalls but found that no one was using the Restaurant and complaining of being thirsty.. Added ATMs in case it was a money thing as one I added them elsewhere they flocked to them. They used the ATMs and didn't use the restaurant. Checked the items being served and noticed they were mainly food items, so put drinking machines outside near the ATMs and they used those rofl. Maybe one day they will get hungry enough that they will use the restaurant otherwise I will have to get rid of it.

Not implying that you're as dumb as I was, but I've had exactly that; and it was because I hadn't linked any tables.
Actually, I had, but when I'd copied the restaurant you have to relink the ones in the new copy.

I've got Lynx in now; but for animals that can live in the Tundra and Taiga their 35% need for plants seems excessive - particularly as I now seem to have 75% of the enclosure covered by trees!

And that's always the way with me - not that I don't know what I'm doing, but I always seem to forget something

And this time, my Bengal tiger is going into quarantine right next door to the tiger enclosure, but it seems to be taking ages
Then I spot a vet running past Saudi Arabia, carrying a box - turns out he's taking a tiger to the only Vet Surgery I'd added, over in S. America :ROFLMAO:

It could be that, but I am sure it showed 17 of 20 tables. But, it is a blueprint I made so I may need to reconnect them.

Thought I'd try again with modifying the restaurant tables
My previous example using the "East Asia Window 1" wasn't great, but I had the idea to flip it, which now works nicely
zoo_big_cats06b.JPG

Gives a look much more suited to the building than the bright white tables - just a shame we have 6 chairs around octagonal tables :D

Nope, apparently, after placing the blueprint, quit the zoo or game and go back in .. just loaded up the zoo again and they're streaming into the restaurant rofl.

Okay .. Just before bed initial release test
Caracal in storage was a no
Jaguar in storage was a yes (5)
Cougar in storage was a yes (4)
Eurasian Lynx in storage was a no

These 9 got me to the bronze tier rofl.

I can also confirm Lions, Cheetahs and Bengal Tigers (had several from recent challenges)

So with the Cougars and Cheetahs, that's two big "cats", that are technically not "big cats"
It looks like Frontier have gone with the popular interpretation, rather than the technical one

At 73% already and looks like the challenge is going to be done, before my zoo is :p

Africa all done now and shops in place, just leaving East Asia to do with the Snow Leopard, Amur Leopard and Siberian Tiger
But I'll probably play out the challenge for a bit (on 48 now), leave the final bit of building and hold off on allowing the guests in to cause trouble

But you will have a few days to get your rewards and work towards the bronze/silver/gold podiums :)
