Players will be able to build their own Jurassic World™ park in the new PC and console game launching summer 2018

Cambridge, UK – 20 August 2017: Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today announced its new game, Jurassic World Evolution, and revealed the first trailer. Based on Universal Pictures’ iconic film franchise and created in collaboration with Universal Brand Development, the game expands on the official Jurassic World mythology and puts players in charge of cinema’s greatest tourist destination – where they will have the opportunity to create and manage their own Jurassic World. Launching in summer 2018, Jurassic World Evolution will be coming to PC, the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and the Xbox One all-in-one games and entertainment system.

“As long-time fans of the entire Jurassic series we’re thrilled to be putting players in charge of their own Jurassic World,” said Frontier’s Chief Creative Officer, Jonny Watts. “We’re excited to bring over fifteen years of management, simulation, and creature development expertise to a destination and franchise that remains an inspiration to us.”

Jurassic World Evolution evolves players’ relationship with the Jurassic World film franchise, placing them in control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago. Players will build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. Every choice leads to a different path and spectacular challenges arise when ‘life finds a way.’

The game is scheduled to release next summer and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be in theaters June 2018.

Well I for one hope this game is very successful for Frontier. Doesn't matter whether next year's movie is good or not - if Frontier do a great job on it, the game should succeed. Dinosaurs!

I'm not really interested in the least in a Jurassic Park skinned-Planet Coaster game, however I wish them all the best with it and hope it sells tons of copies.

Glad it was the Jurassic Park franchise. It certainly looks like on the way to "game hunting" on exotic planet worlds in ED that Braben was saying and "spacelegs will come" . Good work Frontier, and best of luck with the new game, (in only a year from now!)

The trailer on youtube:

lol, there's a comment where someone says Planet Coaster should be "fixed" first. it never ends..
Great to see what the cobra engine is capable of doing on the way to spacelegs and planets with life.

Of course... was to expected. But yeah, curious about the new Game :)

The trailer looks cool.

Development of this game can only mean good things for future content of ED.
Pay attention to the disclaimer at the beginning though, it's all pre-rendered (and we all remember how much the ED trailer resembled reality). I'll make up my mind when we get the first gameplay reviews.

Regardless, best wishes on the new franchise.

True, and i'm sure there is plenty of artistic licence in there, but what they have shown doesn't look like something they couldn't do with their tech.

LOL .. To all those thinking it was anything but JP for the last few months ... I would say I told you so, but Im not that sort of guy.

True some might see this as just a Planet Coaster reskin, but its JP in the end, big franchise for Frontier.

Good luck guys, make it a good one, and your going to be quids in. Gold plated monitors in the office from here on!

OMG
I'm not interested at all in jurassic world, but i think it will be good for development of technologies useful for earthlikes and related fauna.
(I kinda hoped for blade runner for "legs" and city landscapes, but i guess this is the most logical step, maybe they'll have something like that for their fourth game :p )
