It's just about people "feel" about this move.
Will they buy another "limited" thing of the store or will they just wait if it shows up again some time later for cheap?
Now for me, i won't buy "limited" stuff because it is advertised as such.
It would have to be something that cries out "hey that's me".
I honestly also interpreted the "limited" as "never again", but I am in fact glad it does not. I'd rather see stuff like that not limited to some exclusive time period where you miss out forever if you find out too late about the offer, or the game itself.
It was even written that the flag skins "would be gone forever". This is a little weird indeed.
It's about Frontier's total lack of skill at communication, and what I see as a continuing lack of respect.
You used a word that was emotive and has a meaning, you then within two months turn back on that and drop a big one on the fans who supported you up till now by not only reversing how you used the word in time, but by offering the same thing at a much lower price.
You've lost on of your supporters today in that.
But are you happy the same items that were "limited" before are now not limited, but also 1/2 the price you paid for them 2 months ago?
To me, that's the slap.
Well, in retrospect, the wording still makes sense as they apparently meant "time-limited, non-exclusive".
But I must say I am mostly speaking from a very subjective point of view, albeit one that that welcomes the return of those skins.
Objectively speaking, I suppose the wording was open to interpretation and (unintentionally) misleading.
I'll be surprised if they care.
FD is a commercial organisation. It exists to make money. That's it.
Like you, I'm going in with a warning of caveat emptor, I'll no longer just throw money at Frontier like I was willing to do up till now. I certainly won't be buying a boxed copy of the game.
I just don't care whether a skin is labeled 'limited' or not.
If I like it I like it and I won't like it less if everybody else has it.
Neither would I buy a 10 or 15 euro skin because it was labeled 'limited', 'special', 'ultra special', 'multi-ultra-special-limited-super-deluxe' or whatever they can think of.
If I feel a skin is worth 15 bucks I will buy it, if I feel it is not, I will not buy it. I don't care about the 'limited' thing whatsoever.

Things like discounts happen all the time. I might perhaps get upset, because I bought an item when it was obviously too expensive, but I would never blame the retailer for it. And in the case of FD I hope this will bring in some extra money for them.
Also I am happy with the more affordable prices and decided to jump in now.
wow ppl found something new to whine about. QQ
