Stardreamer helps as well after hitting enter for a few seconds.

MY 1200 has outlasted every electronic device I have and I still occasionally boot it up to play fe2 still running the same game since I bought it on release
ah the deep space bomb run ect or timing a jump and interception cause you have military jump drives dumping your radiated fuel waste just classic stuff
then sitting by the jump interception point waiting for your prey to appear, being able to just point at any star from the cockpit and think I wanna go that a ways
many aspects of that version beat this version hands down..........................
I have sampled every sound from my amiga frontier and using voice attack have incorperated the sounds to merge with dangerous I still get the classic boom of hyper jumping with my elite dangerous (created a timed sample to play at jump start and It merges with current sound well for my doses of retro I have also sampled captain blood in the same manner "vision face" turns on or off head tracking I get "galaxy map activated" sound when activating the map or "vision planet" for the local planetary map you get the picture.........
a lot of alpha backers wanted this offline game with direct x 10 polished gfx as much as I like what we have online
an offline version should have been and still can be a purchase option business is business...................
I wish to reserve my copy of FE2 REDUX!

FE2 HOTAS.

Full thruster control, per JJFFE - ie. classic FE2 yaw+pitch plus "Elite control method" plus full retro thruster control - all together at the same time, on the same stick, per ED but without the game-destroying speed limit, lack of pause control, RNG spawns, etc. etc. You know the coo.

Where is it, if it is, and if it ain't then what's the next-best compromise? (please, not FFE)

ETA: preferably a 'Miggy version too, obvioushly... only mod i remember is Anisotropic's, but don't think it maps the thrusters like JJFFE..

Pioneer. Downloaded last night. Full HOTAS support - although there's no practical use for the throttle (a type of control that has no place in a space ship in the first place)..

Unfortunately the game's still strewn with flowery homoerotic references which is deeply disturbing and has no place in anything to do with an Elite tribute, the ship designs are all embarassing junk made by special needs children, the autopilot options are moved from the engine control over to the comms section for some bizarre reason, and there's still no beam weapons, just lame little powder puffs (plasma balls maybe?)...

But it is "Elite", with spaceflight, and full HOTAS support, and as such, towers above ED in every dept that matters.

Think i'd still prefer FE2 with HOTAS, but i don't think that's gonna be possible unless some whizkid programmer has a go at implemeting analogue inputs..
