In all fairness, that's not really true. The server capacity purchased by Frontier will be enough to manage the "expected" workload. There's no point in buying extra compute as it won't be used and it's extremely expensive. Frontier then will only purchase what they need, or what they think they need. This time they got it wrong. And that's 10k on steam, way more than that when you add in EGS and people who bought from Frontier.

all time peak was >27K on Steam and that worked too. I don't think too many players is the reason.
