Does waiting for the Scan Refinement to tell you the number of sites on a Body up the value of the Data, or is it merely so you know the number before traveling there?

You get credits based purely on FSS'ing and Probing, with small bonus for 1st mapped/discovered.

Refining adds no monetary value to a discovery
