Heck no! BUFF torps! ED is a WWII simulator, and torps are what let small ships (planes) pose a threat to large ships (battleships). Oh how I wish ED took the WWII emulation to its full conclusion, where large ships would need fighter escorts and flak screens to protect themselves from wings of small fighters with torpedoes. Instead, well... I've done enough grumbling for one day - you fill in the blanks.Torps bad. Nerf torps
Firstly, there are no battleships that a player could control in the game.Heck no! BUFF torps!
Unengineered torpedoes from my Eagle should remove the unengineered shields from a Cutter. That's my correct simulation of WWIIThe game has already reached the point where the torpedoes from the Imperial Cutter remove the shield from the FDL, in your opinion, is this the correct simulation of World War II?
Aircraft torpedo bombers could very rarely drown a battleship, but as a rule they perished themselves.Unengineered torpedoes from my Eagle should remove the unengineered shields from a Cutter. That's my correct simulation of WWII
As you say, none of our ships are battleships, and I don't expect torpedoes to "sink" a capital ship.Aircraft torpedo bombers could very rarely drown a battleship, but as a rule they perished themselves.
And so that they could do it, they were covered by a large number of other aircraft, diverting the fire on themselves.
