Fur shading looks different in my game compared to yours...

Hi all,

Can anyone explain why the fur on striped hyenas looks so awful? Take a look below:

This is in comparison to what I've seen others showcasing in screenshots and YT videos (pictured below):

What's going on here?
I'm on an i7 with a 3080Ti. My settings are on the highest they can go at 1440p (although there's no improvement if I bump the resolution up to 4K). So I'm not really sure how I can make this look any better. IMO (in my game) it looks awful.

Similarly I think the fur/feathering on the emu's necks and heads look really bad as well with it almost disappearing based on my distance/ rate of camera movement. Sometimes I see the feather/fur effect a few centimetres separated from their neck or head until I zoom right in. It looks really bad:

It's hard to capture in screenshots but when I'm moving the camera, this looks really really bad.

I will finally just add that this isn't a glitch I've come across. It's like this every time I play the game.
EDIT: Here's another screenshot of the hyena, from Frontier this time. BIG difference right? Why does my game not look like this on the highest graphics settings?

Can't compare it myself because I don't have the DLC, so I don't know if it would look the same for me. But I do have a Theory. Is there perhaps a better Graphics Card Driver available for your Hardware?

Thank you for the suggestion. This has been an issue across multiple drivers. Sadly it's not that

Ok this explains why I have been thinking: Ooft PZ is looking a lil rough. Has it aged badly in just a few years?!
Guess not!

THANK YOU for this suggestion. It has immediately fixed this issue for me. I guess it makes total sense but it just was one of those things that did not occur to me. So I appreciate you. Here's a comparison of before and after switching over to TAA:
You're very welcome! I had the same issue before so figured that may be your issue too :)

What exactly does that do? I don't think I have it activated
I'm not super knowledgeable on it but I was having the same issue as Sclurp once and found this ages ago which is how I knew to check: https://www.game-debate.com/news/27...nt-graphics-options-every-setting-benchmarked

It explains what things effect what in the game so you can try to get the best computer performance. Hope that helps you!
