Galaxy Map

Been playing on PS4 since release and just started playing on pc.

On the PS4, when in the galaxy map, with a route plotted, triangle will toggle between current and destination systems.

Is there not an equivalent for the PC?

Reopening the galaxy map after plotting a route and hoping to review the destination system (instead of the next system in the route) easily (single button preferably) is what I’m after.

Thx

1. Open galaxy map
2. Plot a 15+ jump route to say a barnacle planet
3. Close galaxy map
4. Reopen galaxy map to say check if any planets in the destination system might also have rings...icy rings.

How long does it take you to refocus the destination system WITHOUT retyping or repasting destination system?

On the PS4, upon reopening the galaxy map, I just hit triangle twice to focus the destination system.

The destination should stay focused, but I'm not sure in PC if you can check the jumps between origin and destination without loosing the destination.
To be fair I've only been playing for just over a month now and I'm experiencing problems with the galaxy map not setting the destination with missions. I posted a thread today about it.

The destination has never been the focus upon reopening the galaxy map. The next system in the route has been...for years and years, on both consoles and pc.

Bought the pc version in like 2014 but only had a laptop. I played a little then preordered PS4 as soon as I saw it.

The issue ur describing is a bug I believe. Seen many posts about it. I’ve heard some say it’s filtering, which can cause this but many with this issue haven’t ever used filters. Hang tight.

Imho, the galaxy map mapping “select current system” should toggle between current and destination. It should also have both “focus next system” and “focus previous system” mappings.

Btw, welcome to ED war eagle...I’m just a small hop from auburn :)

Also congrats on getting past the docking tutorial. I’ve got at least 100 psn friends that bought ED and swore to never play again because of that tutorial. I was almost a casualty of it as well.

Thankfully I persevered, as you have, this game is so much more than docking. It’s such a great game, i love it.

If ur on PS4, add me, dtdionne, maybe we can wing up.

Thanks, no problem with any of the tuts but these missions that send me in a Viper III after pythons and Anacondas ya could do with out those lol

Ugh...indeed. I’ve always struggled with the combat, even in a highly engineered corvette i often find myself upside down. Ive faced many an eagle with totally invincible shields, it’s wildly upsetting being needled to death over the course of an hour.

But it’s still a great game :)
