How can I get the Galaxy Map to fit my screen ? It's to big
My Monitor LED HDMI 40" 1980x1020 EVGA GeForce GTX 960

I think it would help if you would be more specific in describing your problem.
I, for example, have no idea what you're talking about.
You want to zoom out to fit whole galaxy on screen? Or what?

A screengrab would probably help.

F10 and then look in the "Frontier" folder in your My Pictures folder, if you didn't know.

I'm guessing the OP is talking about the info panel in the galaxy map being (partially?) off the edge of the screen...

At one time I played ED on an old flat screen TV that I had lying around, and had to mess around quite a bit with the resolution in the games graphics settings. Might have also had to use the Nvidia control panel to get the game to fit the screen properly too... Can't really remember in great detail now, been playing in VR for a couple of years.

Anyway, if that's their problem, then trying out a few different resolutions in game might resolve the problem for them.

Yeah, bet you're right. 1280 vs 1920 HD.

Depending on where you are in the galaxy you may not necessarily be able to get the entire galaxy in your view at once, you may need to scroll to see the extreme far edge. I run 1920x 1080, I am sure you also run 1920x1080 as that's the standard display mode, if you do indeed run 1980x1020 that's not a standard display mode and that may cause issues as well.

My Galaxy Map disappears on each side of the screen. If I use the monitor settings I can almost get it to fit but I have to do this everytime I start the game. Just wondered if there was a fix. Thanks

If it is a TV rather than monitor that could be causing the issue - certainly seen that with my 24" HDTV at 1080p - but not on my 55" UHD at 4K (if you get my meaning)

If you're on PC, you can always try looking into:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics\DisplaySettings.xml
I'm not sure it will work, but you can try setting custom resolution there, if you think it might help.
