Disgruntled rock fetishists Reorte Mining Coalition today called to leave the Alliance in protest against Mahons new best friend Li Yong Rui.
Vox Galactica featured an announcement from the faction’s CEO, Fergus Cassidy:
“The pact’s three-month probationary period is clearly a ruse. It is designed to allow time for Sirius agents to bribe, convince or threaten Allied decision-makers into accepting Li Yong-Rui’s presence. We’d rather become an independent faction than allow this greedy and untrustworthy company into Reorte space. Even though Mahon was punished on the Step of Shame last week we still don't trust him, or Sirius for that matter. The Alliance should have nothing to do with a megacorp that does not sell organic produce or obliterates small independent book shops."
In response, Emepror Mahon declared: “What is certain is that even after independence I still win because the Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps will retake the system so these smelly miners can do what they like, I still own the system. And if more systems try to leave, my player groups will gobble them up like candy again. I am the Alliance, so get used to it."
