Oh yes.....the last two have been amazing. series is far too short.
Ten episodes is actually the perfect amount. British series have traditionally been 6 episodes long, which for something like Game Of Thrones is far too short, and American seasons (their term for the British series) are traditionally 24 episodes long, far too many for this, as you'd get bored by about half way through a season. A 24 episode season works for something where each episode is not connected to the previous one, take Friends or Star Trek TNG as examples, while they have chronology and a long story arc, each episode is it's own story, not something that Game of Thrones has.
Here's my thoughts on the latest season
I hate Ramsay Bolton and want Reek/Theon to kill him
Disappointed Bran isn't in this season at all
Arya isn't doing well at becoming a "Faceless Man/Woman"
I lost some sympathy for Stanis Baratheon
Cersei getting locked up surprised me, if she gets out, she's going to kill the Faithful Militant ... to Quote Emperor Palpatine, she's going to wipe them out ... all of them.
I'm expecting Tyrion, Jorah & co to be dead, killed by those in masks after the dragon flew off
And the white walkers are coming, and the wall won't stop them.

I only made it halfway through book 4 because it was so dull! But, they made two series out of book three (series 3 and 4) and, from what you've said there, only one series out of books 4 and 5 combined? Really? I guess they really were overly long-winded!
