I would fair to say, that Fdev uses that same server farm to host all of their games core services.

I'll have to see if I can replicate my PC problems over on PS4. We're all riding the same fleet carrier, after all.I didnt have any problems. Of course im not power spamming an asteroid or trying to force my way into a crowded station either.

Ok but im in LFT 926 and Anyanwu nowhere near the cluster f@*# of ldt buyers or hotspots. Thats the issue, everyone trying to do the same thing at the same time. I dont see what all the fuss is about with credits. Does everyone think theres new stuff to buy? They couldnt possibly not have enough credits to buy whatever comes along. Its not like they'll be selling planets for 15 billion once Odyssey comes out. Eva suit cant cost as much as ships. Im not seeing the reasoning behind the money lust everyone seems to have.
If FD sells carriers they have to provide enough server headroom, period. I don't care if there are 125,000 carriers, FD servers should match their requirements. Nobody expects to cram their size 12 foot into a size 10 shoe, right ? No one expects their VW bug to performance match a Lotis. Back before shielded and buffered power strips many would plug the tv, and 6 other power drawing items into a single socket. Result, blown fuse.
Gentlemen, they sell however many carriers so the server requirements should match the extra stuff FD is pumping into the game. The onus is not on the player base to allow for insufficient servers on the part of the game designers.

I very much agree with you but that's not the business reality of how any Dev host games. There is always lag between capability vs capacity. We as players wont ever hear the Devs backbone methodology. Its their sandbox, no matter how much we feel otherwise.
What a steaming pile.... jumped my FC into a system close to where LTDs are being bought for top price (too many FCs in the actual system), managed to finally jump my cargo ship into the system after 7 FSD hangs, and now whenever I enter supercruise it just borks out. This needs fixing, and soon, because I'm ready to walk away now.
I want a ROLLBACK and the FC's sent back to beta.

It isn't just a "system" issue. I jumped my two ships out of a system in solo to a system with NOTHING BUT A STAR and I still cannot get into Private Group and Wing my two accounts to do exploration. It is a complete game overload issue of Frontier simply not having the SERVER capacity.
So like I said, scale the backend up.
I get you, to a degree. One never knows what next FD is going to add in terms of credit-sinks in the future, particularly with Odessy. We don't know what credit costs will be attached to the long-rumored/awaited base building mechanic. We didn't expect a 5bn-credit price tag on FCs, not to mention their various extras and upkeep costs. Once FCs were announced, I commenced mining (lasers primarily, but core and SSD when I encountered them) because I was just under 1bn and felt I would never need credits again. I think I finally got my FC a week after they launched...and realized I now had barely anything left for rebuys on my ships or upgrades to the FC, let alone upkeep. So back to the grind, only now I could buy LTDs at a fair price and sell them off when the prices jumped in order to have a bit of a buffer. I imagine that's what most reasonable players went through as well, though we all know there are some people who are just greedy and/or want to see that 1-trillion mark happen. Some may want to prepare for what may be in store in the future just in case LTD (or other) prices get nuked into the ground.
The short of it is there are many reasons why people want to grind out credits by LTD mining (and way too many willing to exploit to do it, but that is a whole other topic). Me, I finally have enough of a buffer balance on my carrier that my upkeep will be paid for the next 3 years, which was what I wanted. I also have enough of a balance in my personal account to keep me flying and build a few more ships I have been thinking about. But looking ahead, who knows what things will be added, what they will cost, and if mining will be nerfed down to the pittance from other forms of income, or if other forms of income will finally be given a good balance pass to bring them more in line with mining (combat pay DEFINITELY should be way higher than it is).
That said, it is a bit nutty. We went for over a week with no high-sell prices, and now everyone and their grandma has been stockpiling LTDs for that time and wants to unload them. Hell, I stopped mining and was simply trading them, buying at 1.4mn and selling at 1.6 or higher... and now I have 3,000 tons of LTDs just sitting there because of this issue. Part of this is that the last two high-sell systems have been for multiple minables, which just makes it worse. The BGS could still use some tweaking. Of course, if the players didn't insist on parking their FCs IN the same system everyone is trying to get to, it would help a lot as well. A little blame can go in every direction, really, but in the end, it's something that needs to be fixed as fast as humanly possible.
Apart from credit stocking and exploring, there's not really anything else in the game to provide value. Once you get combat elite, then there's no value in that. Bounty hunting is fun for a while but then that become rinse and repeat. I have an FC with 5bn in it's bank, I have 8.5bn in my bank and if I can offload my current swag of some 2000+ LTDs I'l have around 13bn. I have every ship worth having, some multiple times, and TBH some ships that are just module-stores as they haven't increased the dumb 120 module storage even with an FC!
And the FC Update broke exploration for me since I do it in PG and Wing.
I've seen a few people say this bug has something to do with the number of FC's in a system...I don't know about that. I've been jumping in and out of systems with 0 available FC parking and haven't had any problems. The only time I've had problems with this bug is when I go sell LTD's...at least thats when the game crashes/freezes up and starts giving me Mauve Adder Codes, upon arriving in current Sell System.
If FC's had something to do with this bug it should be crashing every time we jump into "New Borann" that system has been full of Fleet Carriers since day 1.

I've not experienced any problems, it cant be a coincidence. I put in a solid 6 hours straight today.
Not just FCs though. The friends i have that did have problems were having them in the system that was buying ldts at the highest price. Im sorry but that doesnt sound coincidental to me when other friends who were helping out in the CZs with me for TDW werent having any issues at all

Thats strange, i loaded in perfectly fine these past few days, TBF i did get an orange sidewinder and muave adder when trying to play Multicrew, but otherwise its beel all ok for me
Try it in a Private Group in a Wing. IF you can even get more than one ship into the PG..
