Gameplay Videos - Share your Adventure

I follow on Alec's footsteps with my take on the same white-knuckles dive on the 8+ g monster (different style, different music, same fun):

As ED videos go you could be forgiven for thinking it's kinda dull whereas in fact it was one of the most intense and nerve wracking 30 odd minutes of FA Off ED gameplay I've ever had.

Ditto.

- EDIT -

Bonus material, finally uploaded something I had lying in my Shadowplay folder for some time...the embarassing moment I tried to land on BLEIA EOHN ZF-L D9-70 AB 3 A (commonly nicknamed "Pete") but couldn't quite reach it:

Another month another Buckyball Race.

This time it's a galactic pub crawl which involves stocking up and rare booze and distributing free Buckyball Beermats (a rare good available from Rebuy Prospect in the Fullerene C60 system) around a series of space bars.

Note: the race is still on and runs until midnight this coming Sunday! Click my signature banner (assuming it still says "Galaxy's End") for details.

Like several others said, no problem at all. Always good to watch your buckyball content! Am travelling on the other half of the globe right now, but hope that I'll experience something worthwhile to share afterwards.

Been larking around on Mitterand Hollow today which is exhibiting some distinctly odd gravitational behaviour since the arrival of the Gnosis. Lost two Pythons trying to land on the same side of the planet as the megaship (basically because when you come out of glide mode the planet is still falling towards you faster than you can thrust away from it and ends up grinding your ship to shreds). On the other side of the planet it's OK so I've now landed somewhere near the edge of the "Gnosis Effect" and am now driving back towards it. Haven't hit the gravitational anomaly yet but I did record a bit of SRV travel with New Africa constantly rolling across the horizon in front of me.

After a long break a new video about my Journey to the Thargoid Star Map (collecting the necessary materials, entering the Thargoid Site etc...). Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Btw, was the puzzle behind the star map solved (mysterious audio logs, star map itself...)? Would be good to know a bit more about the background, didn't find anything at the Canonn page at the first glimpse.

edit: just updated the spread sheet with all the videos we have in this thread. Pls remember adding yours to the list if you post something. Already a nice collection: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bGnv9KAW-_3Tg_-GlymWSfCh4c4-QkrWzW_LzWYFw2M/edit?usp=sharing

Nice video! (only just got around to watching it). Love some of the external camera work.

P.S. sorry I keep forgetting to update the spreadsheet.

Thanks! Steering the external camera with the controller can be a bit tricky, but I tried my best.

My ongoing attempts to ride a Thargoid Medusa like a donkey!

Cool idea, poor Tharg [big grin] Love that your videos are always very original. They usually show how many possibilities you have in Elite when you're a bit creative.

Thanks for updating the spreadsheet, but don't worry about it - every couple of weeks I'll check if something is missing and update it.

Keeping PrimetimeCasual company on Mitterand Hollow while he continues his epic circumnavigation of this physics defying moon.

And another from me. This time trying out a new SRV dangerous sport I'm calling "Ridge Running" ..

The location is Synuefe VM-D C15-10 2 A @ 1.9099, -122.6589 and here's a map of the route I ended up taking.

Wow, Alec. What a find!
That looks absolutely stunning. Best vista in the galaxy. (once the planet turns back towards the centre, of course. :D )

More on that over here ...

Also, another video from the same location (taken a day after the previous one) where, having fallen off the ridge (again) and found myself in a tight spot I then manage to use my own ship to piggyback me to safety.

P.S. spreadsheet updated ... oops, I've done it again haven't I? (swamped this thread) - I'll shut up now and let someone else post some videos that don't feature sped up SRV action set to an 90's electronica soundtrack. :p

Questionable design decision, or brilliant aesthetic compromise? You decide!

Really though, I don't have a problem with the Krait having a giant, easily hit, canopy, but why does every ship in the game have the same 30 canopy integrity?
