Seconded. Some NPC crew ship management would add depth. It can only be statistics until we have space legs.
Will we be able to search for fleet carriers in the galaxy map?
I was thinking of a scenario whereby i send a fleet carrier to a remote part of space with a stock of my ships in it. I can then use that ship as a remote base of operations, or to allow other commanders to use it as a remote outpost, while i am in the bubble flying around . Similar to how there are Asteroid bases in remote Nebula.
Are the fleet carriers Persistant?
In that if i log off, will other commanders be able to see the vessel, land on it and be able to partake of its services, like say with a space station.

It very well could be. My guess is Fdev will take a look at CMDR wealth distribution and price accordingly. Some of us have tons of dough, plenty do not, and I don't know that they want to put it completely out of reach for current non-billionaires.

So... If other ships can dock and use my carrier's services like refuel repair etc, would that open up a new career path? Cornershop keeper?

I wonder if the owner will need to be logged in or if the carrier will be persistent. The former would suck. The latter would be best.
I might just return to ED for this.

Since there are landing pads, if I am destroyed or self destruct, and the last place I was docked was my carrier, will I now spawn on my carrier?
