While it's a shame FD hasn't been clear why Cox was removed from the game I dread to think you are right and it's a case of removing a word that might just sound like but isn't quite the offensive word the PC crowd might have a hang up about...

As far as I'm concerned Cox mostly evokes a beautiful island in Eastern Canada... And man does it not evoke anything untoward to mention it...

So far, great stability, no crashes, everything smoother and working IMHO. I couldn't contact the server earlier just after downloading, but just gave it some time and came back.

I've a list of Gamma suggestions/tweaks mostly around UI but with a few suggestions. I'll post a wall of text in a bit.

Only thing still jarring to me (so far) is entering/exiting Super Cruise. Very much improved and loving the new zoom into the space station like the star when exiting Hyperspace. But those effects still need some polish. When entering SC I get a screen flash and everything is re-drawn but it seems to take 1/2 second, enough to be very noticeable, and the HUD reticle targeting the locked destination (if I have one) gets cleared for no good reason.

A question regarding clearing saves. So I see that this is currently the only way to rename your character. Fair enough. But for those of us with KS start points, will all of these remain and accessible after each wipe? And also are reserved pilot names preserved if you flip-flop between them? If only we had a couple of save slots to play around with.

So, we cant play solo game, without connect to servers.

I rather gather not. It seems they removed the offline mode completely. Apparently there was a bit of a hoo-ha about it.

It is the speed they are working at that needs increasing, my game is still sending and receiving data to and from the server while waiting for it to work out if I can jump or not, or show me some commodity prices.
When playing Solo, these actions should be nearly instantaneous not take up to 2 minutes or more.

There are a few server problems - Gamma is for bug fixes - try again later on

(1) Yes, after a char wipe all KS options remain
(2) No, if you change your commander name to a new one the old is not preserved for you.
(3) Completely agree .. there was talk of 3 but right now you have 1 !

Has there been any tweaks to availability of ship modules? In my starter island I haven't seen a single FSD, Power Generator or Power Distributor for sale

I can't find a high tech system there but the industrial ones are all drawing a blank at the moment.... I'm in the region around Ross 210, currently can't reach the Beta bubble, Sol or Empire with my hauler
