Oh for block's sake!Has anybody mentioned block yet ?.

I agree.
People are acting as if restoring a few CMDRs is this game's doom. I even need to be ashamed of myself when bringing it up.
Oh well.... ganker gets his kill, explorer doesn't lose his progress. Win win. It's all good![]()
With that many players in a small area, there's always those who aren't aware of it. Or chose not to use it.The thing that baffles me is why anybody is still playing with people they don't want to in a game with a searchable block function.
So all this is really a non-issue? Good to knowsince I always made sure not to end up in these situations.

I never used the block function, since I always made sure not to end up in these situations.
For me it is indeed. Thanks to the FSSSo all this is really a non-issue? Good to know![]()
Tell me how it's detrimental to the game to have ganked CMDRs restored in an event held in a private PvE group.
It's a game. Meant to be enjoyed. Any which way one likes. Not any which way anyone else likes.Because it encourages staying mediocre. Challenge is crucial to any worthwhile experience.
Might have some merit there, at least. If one accepts the premise that new players are forever doomed to dwelling in mediocrity and the necessity to go howling for a hall monitor every time someone hurt their feelings. Personally, I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they would rather learn to stand up for themselves by learning the basics.Player choice is always good. Maybe its time for an informative blocking thread in the new players sub forum to raise awareness of this fantastic feature.
You have Distant Ganks to thank for that. It's a game. Meant to be enjoyed. Any which way one likes. Not any which way anyone else likes.
I can assure you DWE wasn't a mediocre experience.
Didn't exist during DWE. Mind you, as far as most DWE2ers were concerned, it didn't exist either. You have Distant Ganks to thank for that.
Your welcome.

One thing is for sure, though: promoting the use of block on the PvP sub is pretty lick spittle, given that the purpose of the sub is to actually engage other players![]()
And so we now have an Open PVE server. NiceIts no biggie if its in the PG and you sent a ticket. Frontier will restore your data and relocate you. I know a few people who sent tickets and got put back with no questions asked![]()
DWE wasn't mediocre. Obviously.
I'm saying encouraging a "don't challenge me ever" approach is lame.

And yet not as lame as everyone having to, or wanting to play the same way.DWE wasn't mediocre. Obviously.

Bolded is a strawman.
Don't challenge me to participate in areas of the game I'm not interested in. Not unlike requiring someone who loves combat or PvP to have to scan 100 ELWs before he can participate. Or that famous 5,000 LY trip for Palin, which was completely arbitrary.
